Hey everyone, I need some clarification on DAT and TMS setup before I sign my first carrier
From what I understand, DU teaches that we can create one DAT account and use it for all our carriers using one carrier’s MC/DOT to register it. But I’m not sure how this works when it comes to the TMS. My questions are: Do we also create one TMS account for all our carriers? Or does each carrier need their own TMS account? If I create a TMS under one carrier’s MC/DOT and they leave, do I lose access to everything inside that account? Same thing with the DAT account? For those already working with multiple carriers: - How do you handle DAT and TMS accounts? - Do you use one account for everyone, or one per carrier? - What’s the cleanest long-term setup? Thanks I'm just trying to avoid a mess later.

@Christian Chamboneth Thank you for this information. Very informative. Appreciate you.
Niche Selection
I'm currently completing the worksheets, niche selection to be specific, I've been going back to refine details, etc. for the last week but I'm having self-doubt when it comes to selecting a niche and sticking to it. I initially figured I'd go toward box trucks as my first niche, but I don't want to limit my opportunities, and I also don't want to oversaturate my mind/progress by feeling required to do all at once. Anyone have enough experience in the industry that can advise which way to swing that'll be the most beneficial?

@Kamiyah Guy That's a good question. I'm starting with box trucks because my husband will be driving one. I think eventually I'll incorporate more as I get comfortable with what I'm doing. I hope you find what works best for you.

Shipper mistakenly put too many pallets on the Truck, then broker tried to get slick and send over rate-con with a revised rate to return for only $300. 🖐🏿 I pushed back Aggressively-yet with Finesse. Final result: an additional $275 for the Truck. My cut ain't but $27.50--but it's almost another $250 for My Driver. 🎯 For me, the Art of the Game means more than than the money itself. First load?
Has any one secured their first dispatching load?

@Nora Montalvo I haven't yet. My goal is to have one secured by end of next week. My timeline is to be in the private community by this Friday and get some insight, learn some more within that community. My Truk ai website is active and ready for traffic. I still work full time at my job so at the moment I'm working around my current hours then my plan is to be a full dispatcher in a month and leave my full time job. Have you secured a dispatching load yet? How far are you into you free courses? Do you have Truk ai set up yet?

@L. G. Hey!! Yeah, I went through each course in its order. I joined about a month ago. You'll get through them pretty quickly if you make the time to go through them.
