Test your current shoulder flexibility!
Try this stretch out and tell me how it goes! Do you do this regularly or has it been a while? Is it easy for you or do you find it challenging?

I like this shoulder stretch, but I do need to hold a yoga strap to try to bring my hands together and deepen the stretch.
Morning fuel
My girls and I were going on a little morning adventure, so I cooked some steel-cut oats and we packed up these on-the-go oat bowls! We each do it up differently our own preferred wayโ€ฆ I have my oats flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, and a brown sugar, then I topped with vanilla Greek yogurt, peanut butter, bananas, berries, a sprinkle of chia seeds, and a little drizzle of maple syrup ๐Ÿ‘Œ this sort of breakfast is nutritionally balanced and keeps me satiated/energized for a while. The best way to stay on track with your nutrition is to plan, and be prepared! This can save you from making poor food choices, as well as saving you money.

My kind of breakfast, sometimes I eat it for lunch too. Planning ahead is definitely where I struggle the most. Iโ€™ll get my masons jars out tomorrow and prep my Mon, Tue breakfast
Birthday Hacks ๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŽ‚ ๐ŸŽ‰
Birthdays are one of the rare times we allow ourselves to indulge in good times and good foods. This is how it should always be, and with no guilt! But there are still ways to keep things balanced. Yesterday, Elle turned 12. Letโ€™s all share our various hacks and tips to enjoy the day with all the indulgences while also being mindful of wellness! Here are some of the ways we kept our day healthy and fun: 1. Choose one meal to go big on. Maybe a big breakfast/brunch ๐Ÿฅž ๐Ÿฅ“ ๐Ÿง‡ ๐Ÿณ or maybe you prefer to go big for dinner ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ• ๐Ÿฑ. Once you have that choice and plan, you can make your other meals that day lighter and more balanced if needed. 2. Choose fun activities that require a lot of movement to fill your day. For example, trampoline parks and other indoor playground type things, roller skating, walking around an amusement park, etc, and/or something more simple like a nice walk or bike ride ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿšฒ ๐ŸŽข 3. Swap one sweet treat for a zero or low-calorie beverage. This tip probably only helps people with a big sweet tooth, and those that like multiple sweets in the same day, like me ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿฅค โ˜•๏ธ this one actually gets me through most days! Leave yours below in the comments! It can be individual or add on to mine!

Happy Birthday to Elle! ๐ŸŽ‰ One thing that helps me is focusing on the experience rather than trying everything. I pick the foods I really want and skip the things Iโ€™m only eating because theyโ€™re there.
Todayโ€™s lunch
All the colors and food groups ๐Ÿ˜„ just how I like it. Salad with tuna and feta (protein), avocado, pepitas, poppyseed dressing (fats), dried cranberries, croutons, and a side of pop corner chips (carbs). All the food groups work together to keep you full longer, so always make sure your meals AND snacks include all three macronutrients. A salad like this is often a weekly go-to. Canned tuna and Feta are both great sources of lean protein but often overlooked. I also love all the vitamins and fiber from the colorful veg. ๐Ÿฅ— ๐Ÿฅ• ๐Ÿฅ‘ I change up what carbs I use. Sometimes itโ€™s a type of chip, or crackers, or sometimes even a side of cooked potatoes! ๐Ÿฅ” ๐Ÿ  This whole meal (you can make the numbers higher or lower by adjusting the portions): 495 calories 25g protein 41g carbs 25g fats

Thanks for sharing this! My lunch today was smoked salmon (from Costco), then I made a cucumber, and blue cheese sandwich. Seeing your post made me realize I need to start tracking my macros again and pay more attention to balancing my protein, carbs, and fats. Adding pop corner chips to the shopping list as I have not tried them before.
Mobility!!
One of my favorite things. If I donโ€™t do any other workout for the day, Iโ€™m happy to just get some mobility in. Moving all your joints around in their full range of motion makes your body feel less tight and restricted, and just better overall as you go about your day. My challenge for you this weekend is to go through this mobility routine at least once! Or, as many times as youโ€™d like ๐Ÿ˜„ give it a try and let me know in the comments!! Happy weekend โœŒ๏ธ https://youtu.be/OiBlaiMu2qY

Thanks for the mobility video, it was really helpful especially hours after a body pump class. I went through the routine and can definitely see why itโ€™s one of your favorites. Making this part of my regular routine.
