If you already have a book published on Amazon KDP, don't overlook audiobooks. Audiobooks can become an additional income stream from a book you've already created. The best part? You typically aren't running separate ads specifically for the audiobook. If someone discovers your paperback, ebook, or hardcover and sees an audiobook option available, that's another opportunity for a sale. So why do so many authors skip audiobooks? Usually, it's because they assume producing one will cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars upfront. But what if I told you there's another option? You may be able to work with a narrator using a Royalty Share agreement. If you choose Audible's exclusive distribution option, the royalties can be split between you and the narrator. Instead of paying a large upfront production fee, both parties share in the success of the audiobook. One of the things I love about publishing is that every book can become a digital asset that continues working long after you've finished writing it. So tell me... If it's been more than two weeks, it might be time for a quick audit. Amazon Ads can be a powerful way to generate book sales, but they can also eat into your profits if left unchecked. Spending just 15–30 minutes every couple of weeks reviewing your campaigns can make a big difference. Here are 3 things I recommend checking: ✅ 1. Review High-Spend, Low-Converting Keywords Impressions are great, but sales are what matter. Look for keywords that are generating clicks and spending money without producing conversions. For those keywords, consider: • Lowering your bid • Pausing the keyword • Moving your budget to better-performing terms ✅ 2. Adjust Campaign Budgets Have a campaign that's consistently producing sales? Consider increasing the daily budget to give Amazon more opportunities to show your ad. Scaling winners is often more effective than constantly creating new campaigns. ✅ 3. Set Up Negative Keywords Your Search Terms Report is full of valuable insights. If you notice search terms that:• Aren't relevant to your book• Generate lots of clicks but no sales Add them as negative keywords so Amazon stops showing your ad for those searches and wasting your budget. 💬 How often do you optimize your Amazon Ads?
