✨ Your 5 States of Rest archetype is landing in your inbox TODAY! ✨
Go check your email, Nova Nidra family... your results are on their way at 11am PT! (in 40 Minutes) A few things to keep in mind as you receive them: The state you got reflects the state that was most dominant when you took the quiz. Think of it as a mirror showing you where your system is resting right now... not a permanent label, just an honest reflection of this moment. So don't overthink it. Receive it. Sit with it. Then come back here and share: 👉 Which state did you get? 👉 What landed for you? What surprised you? We'll be exploring these States of Rest more together over the coming months. For now, let your state breathe with you. 🌿 Can't wait to see what comes up in the comments!

Flame Keeper too. It is eerie how insightful your summary is of this state. Super helpful for self-awereness. 🙏
In case you didn't see the video...
Hi beautiful community, I am writing to you from the Sacred Valley in Peru, resting deeply among mountains, rivers, and a community of kindred souls. Taurus season has a way of asking us all to slow down, find our roots, and return to ourselves. My body has been leading the way, and I am following. Over the next two weeks, I will be taking on nature’s pace; breathing with the stillness of the mountains and flowing with the current of the rivers. My response times may be slower than usual, but you are not forgotten. If anything needs urgent attention while I’m away, @Alisha Macedo is here to support you. You can reach her by emailing contact@aylanova.com and she will be happy to help. Thank you for holding this space with so much grace and care. I hope you are finding moments to slow down and let nature set the pace for you, too.

I hope your trip is as restful and fulfilling as it sounds.
What does "tired" actually feel like in your body?
We use the word "tired" like it's one thing. But there are so many different variations of exhaustion, and your body knows exactly which one you're in, even when your mind doesn't. When you're "tired," it usually feels like:

Wired but flat, and also anxious and restless. For me, they both go hand in hand - incessant demands on my time which can never be met leads to pushing myself beyond my limits. So when I do get downtime, my brain can't stop processing and worrying about what else needs to be done.
Why Insight Isn’t Setting You Free
You understand yourself. You can name your patterns. You catch your triggers in real time. And still… You end up in the same place at night. Same thoughts, loops... Same exhaustion. Here’s the part no one tells you: Insight alone doesn’t regulate the nervous system. You can understand something and still not feel safe enough to live it. That gap? That’s where people stay stuck. If you’ve ever felt this… I am curious to hear more or drop a 🔥 below. So I know I’m not speaking into the void.

@Charell K it sounds like you are going through a really tough time. I hope you can at least find some comfort here, within such a caring and spiritual group of people, many of whom may well be at a similar place to you.

Why the Dream State Matters
We still don’t fully understand dreaming. Some say it helps process emotion. Others point to memory, creativity, or learning. But what’s becoming clear is this: Dreaming is connected to how we metabolize experience. And most of what we live through doesn’t just disappear at the end of the day. It lingers... in the body, in our nervous system. If there isn’t enough rest, safety, or space to metabolize it… it stays unfinished. This is part of why dreams can feel so charged. They’re one of the places where the system continues its work. Where what hasn’t been processed begins to reorganize. Yoga Nidra touches this same territory, but consciously. You’re not asleep or trying to figure anything out. You’re resting… while the system begins to metabolize what’s been held. And when that happens, insight doesn’t feel forced. It feels like something finally had the space to land. We explore this more deeply inside the Peace in Rest Program If you feel the pull to understand this in your own system, you can join the waitlist.

I dream quite easily, so I guess my brain is good at metabolising its daily experiences. I absolutely love the way you have explained this process and the accessible way you talk about it.
