She's ALIVE!
Hey Friends, I didn't disappear but it seems like it. I'm on the mend now but the past week has been ROUGH. I finally got a little editing done and posted the following video on Youtube a couple days ago. It's not A recipe but recipe ideas for some of my 'go to' meals when chicken is on sale! It seems like the only meat that is budget friendly these days. Here's that video: https://youtu.be/rfRgLVvBsIc?views

@Hope Stephens won’t be getting rabbits until February or March and then the fun will begin

@Hope Stephens no I don’t have anything but that is a good idea. I will have to get my IT guy (son) on that. He is homeschooled so that can be a nice project for him.
Got a break from chicken tonight!
Am I the only one? With meat prices so high, I feel like we rarely eat anything other than chicken. This afternoon I had to make a quick trip to Walmart to get more medicine and stopped by the meat section to see if anything was marked down. "Please, Lord, pork or beef would be so nice." SCORE! Two small packs of pork chops and a skirt steak- all roughly half off. Yes, we had the BEEF for dinner😎

@Hope Stephens crockpot. Makes it easy through everything together and forget it.
What's on the menu?
I'm not sure about you, but I desperately need some quiet rest and real food this weekend. What do you have in the works? I'm playing around with a sausage bread and gravy idea. Love bday of like biscuits and gravy but with bread instead.

@Lisa Vanderveen it is great when the kids can help cook. I think it is a must to help with house hold chores so they know what they are doing when they are out on their own. Married my husband and he didn’t know how to boil water.
Sometimes experiments fail
Are you the kind of person who experiments in the kitchen? I know I do. Not every experiment works out. What have been your funniest or biggest kitchen experiment fails?

Biggest fail is making sour dough starter. Need to try to get it started again. My son wants to make sour dough.
Pulling out all the stops
Hey Friends, I'm battling a sudden onset nasty cold and am trying to go as natural as possible. Aside from, lemon balm tea with honey and zinc lozenges, what are your favorite weapons for clearing sore throat, sinus drainage and chest congestion???

I have a awesome recipe for fire honey that works great for colds and clearing up your head

@Hope Stephens different than fire cider. You can take a spoon full of this or mix it with coffee or hot tea. I have a jar in my pantry ready if anyone starts to not feel good.
