Your 7-Day Posting Plan (With 3 Scroll-Stopping Options Per Day)
You are more than just your sport and your content should reflect that. I know a lot of you struggle with knowing what to post every week, so i wanted to give you some guidance. Remember, you should be posting 3-4 times a week to grow on social media if you’re serious about building a brand and landing NIL deals. This 7-day plan gives you 3 different options per day so you can choose what fits your energy, schedule, and personality. Sports, lifestyle, mindset, and interests all count. You don’t need to do all three. Pick one per day. DAY 1 — Identity / First Impression Option A (Sports): “People think ___ about my sport, but that’s not actually true.” Option B (Lifestyle): “Get ready with me for ___.” (practice, school, workout, game day) Option C (Personality): “Three things people don’t know about me.” DAY 2 — Effort & Discipline Option A (Sports): POV training clip Text: “POV: You’re training while everyone else scrolls.” Option B (Lifestyle): “Follow me as I go through my training day.” Option C (Mindset): Short talking video: “Something I’m locked in on this week…” DAY 3 — Story Time / Real Moment Option A (Sports): “Story time: a moment that changed how I train.” Option B (Lifestyle): “Story time: how I balance sports and ___ (school, family, work).” Option C (Personal Growth): “One thing I used to struggle with that I’m better at now.” DAY 4 — Behind the Scenes (Quiet Content) Option A (Sports): Behind-the-scenes of practice or recovery Text: “This part never makes the highlight tape.” Option B (Lifestyle): A day in the life (short clips, no talking) Option C (Interest-Based): Show something you care about outside sports (fashion, music, food, faith, fitness, art, gaming, etc.) DAY 5 — Advice Without Preaching Option A (Sports): “If you play ___, stop doing this.” Option B (Lifestyle): “One habit that’s helped me stay consistent.” Option C (Perspective): “What I wish I knew earlier.” DAY 6 — Motivation Without the Speech

When NOT to Say Yes to Exposure or Free Product Deals
One of the biggest misconceptions in NIL is that any opportunity is a good opportunity, especially early on. That’s not true. Exposure and free product can be useful when used correctly, but saying yes at the wrong time (or in the wrong way) can actually hurt an athlete’s brand. Here’s how to know when NOT to say yes 👇🏽 1. When There’s No Clear Purpose If you can’t answer: • Who is this for? • What value am I creating? • How does this help my brand long-term? Then it’s not an opportunity, it’s a distraction. Exposure without direction usually benefits the brand more than the athlete. 2. When They Want Too Much for Too Little Be cautious if a brand asks for: • Multiple posts • Long-term usage rights • Ongoing content • Exclusivity …in exchange for just “exposure” or a free product. Your time, likeness, and effort have value, even early. 3. When It Locks You In Too Early Early deals should not box athletes into: • One category permanently • Long exclusivity windows • Restrictive brand rules You’re still learning your voice and audience. Keep flexibility. 4. When You’re Not Ready to Deliver Quality Content If you’re still unsure: • How to talk on camera • What to post consistently • How to communicate value • How to represent a brand professionally It’s okay to wait. Poor execution early can close doors later. 5. When There’s No Agreement or Clarity Red flags include: • No written expectations • Vague deliverables • “We’ll figure it out later” language • Pressure to post immediately Professional opportunities should feel clear, not rushed. 6. When It Distracts From the Foundation If an offer pulls focus away from: • Learning how to post • Building consistency • Understanding your niche • Developing your voice Then it’s too early. Foundation first. Monetization later. Important Perspective for Parents & Athletes Exposure and free product can make sense when: • You’re intentionally building a résumé • You’re practicing content creation • The ask is reasonable

This. It’s easy to want to do exposure plays at the beginning but then when you have momentum in a possible other opportunity with money attached, you can’t take it because you were stuck in a free deal or the fulfillment weeds for nothing. These are awesome reminders and I think any brand that is going to actually help you or want to be a good partner either has a really detailed plan for just an exposure deal or doesn’t know what they’re doing.
How to Talk on Camera Without Sounding Awkward
One of the biggest fears athletes have when creating content isn’t posting, it’s talking on camera. Feeling awkward on camera is normal. It doesn’t mean you’re bad at content. It usually means you don’t have a structure yet. Here’s how to fix that 👇🏽 1. Know Who You’re Talking To Awkwardness usually comes from trying to talk to everyone. Before you hit record, decide: • Who is this for? • One person or a specific group • Someone who understands your sport Talk like you’re explaining something to a teammate, not performing for the internet. 2. Don’t Memorize — Bullet Your Thoughts Trying to memorize a script makes you sound stiff. Instead: • Write 2–3 bullet points • Keep them visible off-camera • Talk naturally around them Structure creates confidence. Perfection kills it. 3. Start With What You’re Already Thinking You don’t need a perfect hook. Start with: • “Something I’m working on right now is…” • “A mistake I used to make was…” • “One thing people don’t see is…” When you start mid-thought, your delivery sounds more natural. 4. Pause Without Apologizing Silence is not a problem. If you lose your thought: • Pause • Take a breath • Continue Don’t say “um,” “sorry,” or “I forgot.” Pausing makes you sound thoughtful, not awkward. 5. Keep It Short on Purpose You don’t need to say everything in one video. Aim for: • One idea • One takeaway • One action Clarity beats talking longer. 6. Talk Through Your Experience You don’t need to sound like an expert. Say things like: • “Here’s what I’m learning…” • “Here’s what I’m working on…” • “Here’s what helped me…” Growth stories feel more authentic than advice. 7. Practice Without Posting Record videos you don’t post. Talk for 30–60 seconds about: • Your day • Your training • A lesson you learned The goal isn’t content — it’s comfort. 8. Watch Yourself Once, Then Stop Overwatching creates insecurity. Watch once for: • Clarity • Volume • Eye contact Then post or move on. Final Reminder Sounding confident doesn’t come from being perfect.

One of my favorite takeaways from WYW is never saying “Hey Guys” at the beginning again on camera!!
Community Spotlight: Doing the Work Pays Off 💪🏾
want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to @Sage Abdullah , one of our community members and someone who was also part of my very first NIL Accelerator last year. Since then, Sage has gone on to land many, many more NIL deals, and it’s not by accident. What changed? ➡️ He started posting consistently ➡️ He applied what he learned about content creation ➡️ He stayed patient and focused on building, not chasing quick wins Sage is a track and field athlete at Prairie View A&M (HBCU), and he is a prime example of what it looks like when you DO THE WORK. His growth didn’t come from luck, talent alone, or one viral moment. It came from showing up, refining his content, and treating his brand like something worth building long-term. And here’s the part everyone needs to hear: Everyone in this community has the same opportunity — but only if you actually apply what you’re learning here. Proud of you, Sage. Keep going. This is just the beginning 👏🏾🔥

Community Spotlight: David Faulk 🔥
Huge congratulations to David Faulk, son @Tiffany Whitlow , one of our community athletes, on earning Phil Steele Third Team All-American honors as a freshman, an incredible achievement and a testament to consistency, discipline, and belief. This is what happens when you keep showing up, doing the work, and trusting the process. David is already cementing himself as one of the top kickers in the country, and we’re proud to have him in the Winning Your Way family! Let’s goooo! Let this be a reminder to everyone: • Consistency compounds • Quiet work turns into loud results • Foundation first, recognition follows
