Sounds great ! Also I’ll try to avoid searching that tune on YT . Watching all those small Serbian kids playing it at insane tempos makes me look bad 😝.

This took me about 3 months to learn and get up to speed. There are contextual factors which effect my ability; I cannot play this as well as I did here (this recording is from may, I haven’t practiced the song for about a month), and that itself is a mental challenge I face in playing. Other than practice, I cite my lack of repertoire as a reason for not being able to play as well, but I am confident that in a year or two, I will be able to play this without difficulty :)

@Tomislav Cukar nice song! And well done ! Is that a 7/8 rhythm I’m hearing? Last two songs I’ve been practicing are in 7/8 so it might be that’s all I hear these days 😅

@Joakim Monsen thanks ! Last two tunes I’m playing are some 7/8 songs . “Imate li vino” and “Jovano Jovanke”. They present similar difficulties. 7/8 rhythm (which was new to me) , ornaments (which I still can’t incorporate at tempo) and a part in thirds which at least I’m getting used to by now . I’ll try to upload a video during this week with a rough version .

👉 What’s the one obstacle you’re facing with your accordion playing right now?

Biggest obstacle now is doing the proper time management to show up every day and play regularly. I used to practice regularly with an old French method. I was seen progress , but I missed playing something I actually care, and not only technical exercises . I recently took a few months of online classes with a teacher . It was mostly Balkan tunes . I loved the music , but was struggling . I’m searching a place in between good old drills and heart felt music 😅
