How do I apply Jake's file tree method to Claude Desktop / Browser?
I think the thing that I am really struggling with on a repeat basis is Claude not knowing the context of our business and not knowing what else is made. For context we are making a mobile app for auto detailers, but broader than that the app sits in an ecosystem with TOF ways to get people on the app - social media content, website amendments, database reactivation campaigns. In this broader ecosystem there is also reputation management where customers get a call from a voice AI after the completed job which aims to get google reviews for the detailer. The app itself functions as a marketing/conversion mechanism - so it has a booking functionality where leads/customers can book jobs… which then segues into a reminder/confirmation/ sequence over sms/email that happens outside the app, so part of the broader ecosystem. So one of the problems I am running into is I am in the process of putting together everything required in the app build. And have a running doc that is constantly getting updated as new things are added/optimised. But Claude keeps adding things that aren’t relevant to the app build, but relevant to the broader ecosystem - it might be good information, but it also might already be handled in what I have already put together in the broader ecosystem. This doc has gone through so many iterations and every time I’m repeating myself on what has been built so far, what isn’t relevant to the app but to the broader ecosystem etc. So what I’m struggling with is that this sounds like what we need is a file tree organised by a claude md file so that each new project/chat has context on the business as well as what has been built so far. But then my thinking (which is confused) is that would mean working out of Claude Code - but the work I am doing is planning/researching/idea generation which I thought I needed claude .ai or claude desktop for. So the question becomes how do I make an organizational file tree and give access to claude desktop or claude .ai so that its responses are contextualised without bloating it?

my takeaway as someone non-techy - AI is just another layer of technology - every one of these layers are probabilistic - even the most seemingly deterministic - like machine code - because fundamentally electrons are random and can flip machine code to create ‘bugs’. The reason we don’t experience bugs is because of layers upon layers of engineering to handle edge cases and errors. So the people that say that AI is probabilistic are missing the point - with engineering and the right architecture, AI becomes more reliable and closer to being deterministic. While computers weaved logic, AI weaves language.
THANKYOU (Edit of :I need your help but it's optional. )
UPDATE: SHE GOT INTO THE NEXT ROUND THANKYOU ALL SO MUCH. Another round of voting this week if you want it keep voting for us ! Completely unrelated to AI. My stepdaughter is in a competition to meet Jeff corwin. (My childhood hero when it came to animals) And she just needs a vote in a competition everyday for the next few days. Completely free to cast one vote. So if anyone is willing to just click the link and cast a vote that would be super nice. Totally don't have to as I understand this is completely separate from AI lol https://jr-ranger.org/2026/wylder-533c

Welcome to Clief Notes. Here's where to start.
1. Watch the intro video and introduce yourself in the intro post here 2. Start with The Foundation (free course). Concepts, folder architecture, prompting framework. Everything else builds on this. 3. Check in at the bottom of each lesson. Polls, discussion posts, other members working through the same stuff. Use them. 4. When you're ready to build real things, move to Implementation Playbooks (Level 2). When you're ready to build your own tools, Building Your Stack (Level 3). 5. Post your work. Ask questions. Help others when you can. What are you here to build?

pumped to be a part of this.
Who's here? Drop your intro.
Tell us three things: 1. What you do (job, industry, student, career-changer, whatever) 2. What brought you to Clief Notes 3. One thing you're trying to figure out right now related to computing or AI I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first I am Jake, I have been working in tech for 15 Years, building with Generative AI for 3 Years straight now! Excited to teach and learn! That's it. Simple, scannable, gives you data on who's joining and what they need, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

Hi I am building a SAAS for auto detailers to monetise their existing customers more - my background is in psychology, marketing/sales. I came to Clief notes after stumbling across one of Jake's shorts on YT... the first principles approach just clicked because I was trying to dive into Claude Code but didn't know where to start. I'm trying to figure out how I can use AI to automate the fulfilment of my services - which include Voice AI and a loyalty app.
