Emergency Prayer for the In-Between
I thought I’d share this prayer I found relevant for myself if it helps anybody else: “God, I’m terrified of becoming the man I used to be. I’m scared that this change is fragile and I’ll screw it all up. I know how easily I can fall into pride or lust or apathy. But I want You more than I want comfort. I want truth, not just pleasure. So kill the parts of me that would drag me to hell with a smile. Put people in my life who’ll speak life, not lies. And don’t let me go, even when I try to run”

@Erik Quiros happy to help!
New here 👋
Hello all! I’m Nick! (26) I am a homeschooled cradle catholic man from a large family (8 siblings). Growing up I prayed the rosary, read the Bible, went to church with my whole family. I volunteered in the church, in youth groups and church communities. I have always attended mass weekly and since I was 10 I have gone to confession regularly. I’ve been very gifted with family, friends, connections, skills, strength, and career. However since I graduated college at 18, I’ve grown more worldly especially as I excelled into my blue collar career path. As a result of this lukewarm lifestyle, I recently had the scare of my life, which was only a result of the way I’ve been choosing to live for several years now. I am here to become focused as a Catholic, God fearing man who wills to conquer sin and become a shining example of faith. I have lifted for 4.5 years and intend on cutting down to show off the gains and hopefully a six pack by losing 20 lbs before the end of summer. Excited to be here and also try out the upcoming fitness challenge!
