Day 2 of the job search and I did manage to secure an interview for a role yesterday. As such it is a business appropriate outfit plus I am using my slimmer Republic of Florence briefcase as I don’t needs as much, still taking a note pad, pen and my iPad with me though. Had my regardless weekly Chiropractic appointment this morning, then home to await the council for a check on our rent and then off to the job interview after that. I do also have a 2nd Job interview scheduled for tomorrow. Todays outfit consists of ; M.J. Bale Harwood Suit in a contemporary Blue made from a Super 130’s Birdseye weave. Charles Tyrwhitt Royal Oxford Windowpane Check Shirt in Steel Blue TrendHim Solid White Clip-On Suspenders OTAA Gibraltar Graphite Blue Stripe Tie OTAA Mister Show Business Grey Wool Pocket Square OTAA Jack O’ Cups Shattuckite Skull Bracelet Charles Tyrwhitt Blue Net Pattern Socks CNES MTO Oxford in Blue SOTD - Versace EROS Flame WOTD - Tudor Royal 41, it is just to classy. Plus my Republic of Florence Boston Black White Laptop Bag, the leather is pebbled and so so so soft. I have had this bag for three years now and it still looks new.

I have had a nice pair of shoes and boots for the last 33 years. Two pairs of each, one pair black and one pair brown. Spit polished to a brilliant shine, lovingly maintained, I have resoled all of them multiple times. But the leather has gotten to the point were my shoe repair guy Gustavo, who has repaired and resoled all of them finally told me that it is going to cost more to replace parts of leather and resole them than it will to replace them. Gustavo also told me that while he knows I am currently working, he also knows I am close to retirement. He suggested maybe I not invest so much for my next pair. Brothers, I am looking for some good work shoes, comfortable to wear, business casual in appearance oh, and did I mention comfort? I prefer a leather shoe but I think brush shine will be good enough. I have been getting resoled every ten years or so, but I don’t think I will be working that long so I Allen Edmonds or Amberjack shoes are out of the running. What are your suggestions and why?

Which laundry detergent should I use? For my casual shirts, because the colors fade or bleach too quickly. I wash our street clothes on cold water only. Now, we will usually float between Gain and Tide, and sometimes baking soda will be added our washing. My wife is a Medical Assistant so it helps with her stubs and especially for our pants. Although my dark brown, gunmetal, and khaki pants are fading, too? I’ve been paying more attention to my casual collard shirts especially during my ironing and have noticed them fading. Any brands or other tips are highly recommended. The shirt on the hanger is from today and the one I’m wearing (same shirt) was from March.

What would you consider the most valuable piece of style infrastructure that you've purchased? Why do you consider it so? For clarification; by style infrastructure, I'm talking about those items that are essential to your personal style but are not worn. These are things like shoe trees, iron and board, valet, etc.
