Hey guys do you charge sales tax to your clients? As in the package is $_____ +gst or do you charge as $____ only and then eat the sales tax costs at the end of the year?
Don't eat the sales tax - it's a part of business EVERYONE in business would understand and if they don't, my easy response is "that amount is GST, unfortunately I can't do anything about that, it's the government taking that, but hey you do get to expense it"
@Jared Vasquez-Tineo very rarely, for example, I'd sell a package for 5k and the invoice I send is 5250 total, if they question it, I use that line above and I've never had someone cancel or opt out because of the tax and if they did opt out over that, I'd see it as dodging a bullet from working with a dumb client that would be hell lol
Name is Nevan, I'm from Canada I help SMB and entrepreneurs lower taxes and automate their business accounting, currently closed just under $95k worth of packages so far this year, 22 years old, been in RSC for over a year, love the growth of this fine group of gents, looking forward to meeting up in person.
