🧪 Experiment #2 starts today.
May 1 - Day 1 of 30. For the next 30 days I'm posting 3 times every day across Skool communities. I'm going to track every number and because I love a good tracker, I created one that I'm going to test out. I'll report back regularly so you can see exactly what consistent showing up does (or doesn't do) to a business. Because like many/all of you, I am juggling this business stuff around life - working a full time job, with a family, preparing my June bundle and anything else that comes up, this has to be efficient. So I've planned it: The daily formula: → Post 1: This community - value, update or experiment data → Post 2: Another Skool community - genuine value, no pitching → Post 3: Another Skool community - different room, same rule What I'm tracking: Members (+/-) | Discovery rank | Engagement | Conversion | Any comments or DMs of note | Score | Directly connected sales | Where I posted | Starting numbers: Members: 70 | Churn: 1 | Discovery rank: 1,769 | Engagement: 78% | Visitors 245 | Conversion: 6.7% | Sales directly connected to Skool: 0 What's the experiment showing so far: Lets give it a few days... By May 31 I'll know whether consistent Skool presence actually moves the needle on real business metrics - or whether it's just a lot of effort for a better rank number. That's the experiment. Now, what can all of you be doing that will help grow your email list or membership or client base? It would be great to hear and have you track along with me. @Viv L I think saves and conversions will be the only 2 things worth tracking. Views and followers don’t matter. I found it fascinating to see the age groups and countries that saves and clicks on my artwork. The group was younger than I expected. Which means I had to adapt my understanding of my ICA.

@Viv L yes, your efforts and results will snowball over time, as long as you keep posting. Good luck and hope you get good leads and sales from it.

@Niky Egerton I used the free Manychat option for a few months, but it doesn’t allow you to request emails to grow your email list. I finally signed up for the paid version to get some traction on my email list. I will experiment for a month or 2 to decide of its worth it.

Experiment #1 Update 6
Day 9 of getting to 100 members. We're at 41. 🎉 Results since the last update: → Meta ad: NZ$11.87 spent over 4 days. 9,110 views, 132 link clicks, 105 landing page views. Zero confirmed members from it so far. The reach is there, the clicks are there, the conversions aren't -(yet?). Its still running so lets see... → Added the "Where did you hear about us?" question: this has been useful. Since I added it, everyone who's joined has come from the bundle or my own email list. Which tells me my existing audience is engaging but the cold traffic from ads isn't converting yet. → Emailed 264 non-bundle subscribers: I mentioned my free skool group in the From 9-to-5 Bundle but hadn't emailed my whole list about it so emailed just those existing subscribers who didn't opt into the Bundle as they wouldn't know about it: 59 opened (22% open rate), 6 clicked, 2 joined AND 2 unsubscribed 🤣. I'll be honest, that felt low BUT, then I thought about. These are people who never signed up for the From Job to CEO bundle, so they're a less warm audience for this specific community. 2 from 6 clicks is actually a 33% conversion from click to join - the open rate is the problem, not the landing. I probably have to do it again (not yet!). → Other Skool networks: slow burn but it's moving. I am not as worried about this one, I'm not going to do some hard sell on my group, while I am running an experiment to get to 100 members in 30 days, the point is more to remind me to keep building and growing not to get numbers. I want people here who want to be here and engage so I'm ok 😂. Discovery rank has gone from 4075 on day 6 to 3119 today. That's 956 places in 3 days. → New experiment: Skool keywords - Skool is now going to function as a search engine and you get 11 keywords on Skool 🥳 So I've gone all in 😂 Here's what I've put: side hustle, quit 9 to 5, solopreneur, build business, online business, career change, entrepreneur, leave my job, business owner, make money, job to CEO I'm genuinely excited to see what this does to my profile visitors and discovery rank over the next two weeks. This might be the thing that starts bringing in cold traffic organically without spending a cent on ads (yeah, that sounds amazing but lets see...) I'll report back.
