Building a successful podcast takes time
You have to show up every day when success isn't guaranteed. If you put in enough days, eventually you'll get there. How many days do you think you've been working on your podcast?

Podcast Release Form (FREE GIFT) 🎁
Do you have guests sign a podcast release form? When conducting a podcast interview, it’s essential that everyone is aligned from the start. A well-written podcast release form ensures your guests clearly understand how their interview will be used, including important details around copyright, ownership, and distribution. Beyond setting clear expectations, a release form offers several key benefits: - Signals professionalism — It shows you take your podcast seriously and respect your guests’ time and contribution. - Limits liability — Protecting you if you ever decide to sell, license, or monetize your episodes in the future. - Saves time later — Avoiding the hassle of tracking down former guests years later for permissions, especially when applying for business insurance or expanding your show. Most importantly, it gives you peace of mind, knowing both parties are on the same page. It’s also a great opportunity to confirm your guest has the right equipment (microphone, high-speed internet, etc.) before recording day. Please feel free to download my podcast release form at no cost.

Podcasting Tip #6: Convert Followers to Listeners
One of the best ways to turn social media followers into listeners is the “self-call-out + follow-up” method. When you are small, you can still reach people individually so you should use that to your advantage. Start by asking people to self-identify with a simple prompt or poll. For example: “Leave a 👍 if you are excited for [upcoming niche event].” Once someone reacts, they have signaled interest. That becomes your opening to follow up, either in the comments or via DM. The most effective approach is a short, personalized voice note. “Hey @Username123, I saw you have been into [niche] for a while. I run a podcast on this and would love to hear your thoughts on [Episode #X]. Thanks for connecting!” From there, you can ask for a rating, invite them to an email list, or point them to Patreon depending on how direct you want to be.
