I Made My Skool Community Public. Hereโ€™s What Iโ€™m Sharing Next ๐Ÿ‘‡
Over the next few days, I am going to be sharing a series of posts about public Skool communities. Public communities rarely get the spotlight they deserve for how powerful they can be. It has been a long time coming, and I have gotten a lot of questions about this decision from people building on Skool, people considering it, and people trying to decide what direction to go. So instead of making one long post that could turn into a novel, I wanted to break it down into a series of posts so we can cover everything properly and answer questions as they come up. โœ๏ธโœ… Here is what we will cover: Why I made my Skool community public Should you have a public Skool community or a private one? Things to make sure you do if you go from private to public What will help your public Skool community Skool tips for a public community, including how to prevent spammers and low quality posts And the Skool strategy I personally recommend and will lead by example with After that, I will shift back to what this community is here for: - Resources and templates you can use. - New Skool videos and podcast episodes. - Highlighted communities that are worth checking out. - Posts about new Skool features and platform changes. - Breakdowns of how different Skool communities are structured and what is working. - Plus, little things I find across Skool that most people miss, like features, pages, or tools you might not know exist. Yes, I did say a podcast! ๐ŸŽค I finally can announce that my podcast host Eric and I are launching a new one together! We had one when we first started on Skool two years ago, took a break, and now we are starting fresh with a new one focused on online communities and what actually works in practice. Soโ€ฆ who is @Eric Howell? If you are building a Skool, it is really easy to feel like you should be able to do everything yourself. Content, community, offers, systems, traffic. And the truth is, you probably can.. I know I felt like that.

Sounds great! Looking forward to next posts and content.
I landed in Bali at $0/month, now I'm at $3620/month 2 months later
2 Months ago I landed in Bali with $500. I'd just met @Alistair Booth at the airport, I had a month of accommodation booked in the Bali slums, and I knew I had to make something work FAST. The original plan was that I'd do "digital detox" coaching and Alistair would do acne coaching, which we'd both be promoting with long-form content. But, a few days in, we realized there was no way to guarantee our success with that (in the span of a few weeks) so we started looking for new ways we could make money more quickly. And after some back and forth with Jenna, and a few ideas I never acted on, we landed on the perfect business model for us at the time. LOOMTUBE. "Helping entrepreneurs turn looms into high quality YouTube videos." It was perfect. See, for a few months before Bali I was helping coaches with their titles, thumbnails and hooks, which meant I could handle the pre-production side of things. And, Alistair had been editing his whole life, which meant he could spice up the videos to make them more engaging during post-production. So for the next few weeks we put our heads down and worked as much as we could. One demo video after another, videos for a new YouTube channel we made, and reaching out to anyone we'd ever even semi-connected with to see if they'd be interested. The result? Not much... Jenna bought a YouTube hotseat session for $25, but that was where our success stopped at the time. The reason? We simply hadn't put in enough reps. We'd been at it for a few weeks but if we wanted this to work, we'd need to do even more, for even longer. So is that what we did? Nope. Because around that time... We got lucky. Sort of... About a month into our journey, we signed our first big client at $2500, and before we knew it he decided to hire us full-time at $3000/month each. The reason I say we got lucky, is because one client solved our income issues overnight. But the reason I say "sort of lucky", is because of the following:

You are welcome, Ethan :) There is one quote from a local movie that says: "Svakoga dana, u svakom pogledu, sve vise napredujem" (main character repeating that over and over) > Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better
People Trust Youโ€ฆ Or They Donโ€™t. Why?
We hear it all the time.โ€œTrust and credibility matter.โ€ And they do. Especially when youโ€™re building an online following, selling, or running a community where people stick around long-term. But most people stop at just saying itโ€™s important. What do you think it actually takes to build real trust and credibility online? The kind that makes people follow, buy, and stay. ๐Ÿ‘‡ I want to hear your honest take.

I think itโ€™s all about help. If you help me, Iโ€™ll trust you. If you help me more, Iโ€™ll trust you more. How much help is enough? Thatโ€™s specific to every person and every situation.
Keeping Quiet About Your Message Is Keeping You Broke
What do people know you for? If someone needed what you offer, would your name come to mind? If you are not putting content out there, people will not just forget about you... They will not think of you when they hear someone else needs what you do. You can be the best at what you do, but if you are not visible, someone less qualified but louder will get the clients. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Show up. Share your message. Repeat it until people can explain what you do. Are you making it easy for people to remember and refer you? Or are you leaving money on the table? โœ… Practice Time: Try to put in 150 characters or less what you do on Skool. No links or direct pitches. Just explain what you do. If it's more than 150 characters, I will delete it.

My Call with Jenna - Pure Gold! ๐ŸŽฏ
Just had an amazing call with @Jenna Ostrye yesterday and I couldn't wait to share! I've been giving so much value in my community but wasn't sure if I was doing it the right way. Jenna opened my eyes to something really important - sometimes less is actually more! She helped me see how to make everything simpler and clearer for my members. What really blew me away was how she broke down exactly what I needed to change - from the way I structure my communities to how I write my about page. She even shared some amazing tips about getting more people to join from Skool (and actually stay active!). The best part? Her practical advice about transitioning from a free to paid community. No fluff, just real strategies that make total sense. If you want honest, clear advice about your community, book a call with Jenna. Trust me - you'll walk away with a whole new perspective and an actual plan you can use right away! Thank you Jenna - you went above and beyond with all your help! Can't wait to put everything into action! ๐Ÿ™Œ
