I met the men, the myths, the legends
Morning all, i just got back from a few weeks in Thailand & Cambodia, and i was lucky enough to have a couple of dinners with @Brett Dev and @Nathan Von Fumetti. Just wanted to saw what wonderful human beings they are, their company and advice was very much appreciated and given me some much needed motivation in my business, and kind kind souls too. Burning Season
Hey, all. Just wondering what the air quality is like in Chiang Mai at the moment? I'm thinking of heading that way soon but not until the burning season is over. Am I looking at end of April? Early May? Thanks 👍

This is my first time experiencing burning season and it's been a wild experience. It didn't seem too bad in February, but March and April have been really bad. Chiang Mai is the most polluted city in the world. Right now, it's not terrible, because it rained yesterday, but unless it continues to rain the PM2.5 levels will likely increase. I have a personal reason that is keeping me in Chiang Mai this year, but next year I will either go home for the burning season or stay in the south of Thailand. IMO the long-term health risks are not worth it. If you want to come to Thailand in April, I would recommend visiting some of the beach towns in the south with much better air quality. Hopefully, the PM2.5 levels will be better here in May.
Upskilling; Which 'remote' skillsets are most in-demand?
Hi guys. I am considering applying for work as a UI designer, or UX designer. I applied for some of these jobs in the past, but I didn't get any joy. I recall being being tripped up in an interview with some nuanced tech questions to do with @media break points (min-width vs max-width) and page loading speed. I can work with HMTL and CSS. My weakness is Javascript, but I will learn it, IF... it's worth the time investment. Before I start upskilling, going on potentially expensive Front End Engineer training courses, I wanted to test the water to see if freelancers/workers with this skillset are already oversaturated. I was going to just ask about UI/UX design opportunities... but i think it would be more helpful to ask a much broader question... to work out which 'remote work' skills are the most 'IN DEMAND'. Please can you complete the Poll below? ... Thank you :)

Do whichever one you enjoy. It's all hard work I don't think you'll have to worry about one being more saturated than the other. I will say that I can quickly see graphic design getting replaced by AI. Anything marketing, sales, coding, accounting/bookkeeping/finance is a good option.

@Toby Barnes I have no idea.
Online teaching.....not again!!! PLEASE!
Just thought I share my some private bookings that start this weekend. After contacting some old schools and colleagues back in Guiyang, I have added 5 students to my private work list. A group of 5 students wanting 2 hours of teaching in a group setting. My charge for this is £55 ($70) per hour. I have made a schedule for the rest of my free time, on a Saturday and Sunday (5 hours per day) and once this is filled up with groups I am earning more than the university is paying me! Its started and I am well ahead of the deadline I set earlier this year, and after lots of procrastination and over planning, over thinking, over talking, it is now happening! .......If I can do it, I know you all can!

Congrats Clive.
For those who don't know where to, or how to start earning money online.
As a group of individuals that all seek a similar outcome, location independence and income from online sources, I thought I would update what I have posted before, in terms of my area of speciality "teaching English as a foreign language." There remains a huge demand for this around the world, and there are still many vacancies out there fro those who want to look at this industry as a means to find a way of moving forward geographically and financially. In the era of digitalisation, teaching English online has emerged as a popular and lucrative career option. This is especially true for digital nomads who are interested in creating an online income while enjoying the freedom to travel and work from anywhere. Here, we'll explore the top 10 countries actively advertising for online English teachers and a variety of companies that cater to different qualification levels. "Top 10 Countries Actively Advertising for Online English Teachers." Along with the most popular platforms used for online teaching/learning, and platforms students use to find teachers (download and get prepared, and maybe register with the platforms used by students?) 1. China (WeChat, iCourse and Xuetang)(Students seek teachers on, Weibo, Zhihu, Baidu, WeChat) 2. Japan (Engoo)(students seek teachers on, English Everywhere, S-Lessons, Cena English, Cafe Talk, Best teacher, Lingo.) 3. South Korea (Nil English, Tutoring Go)(Students seek teachers on, Nil English, Tutoring go, English Hunt, Cafe talk, Zik talk.) 4. Vietnam (Facebook, Zalo, Fresh Learn and Udemy)(Students seek teachers on, Preply, Hey Tutor, University Tutor, ESL Dream Job, Tutoroo) 5. Taiwan (Facebook, Line.me, instagram, Udemy and Fresh Learn)(Students seek teachers on, Teacher on, Cafe talk, Tutoroo) 6. Big value bomb Clive. Honestly, if you made a YouTube channel with your credentials you could review each platform and probably get a lot of views.
