Show - Black Mountain, 26-29th August in Bristol, 4th Sept in Cardiff
Sharing the show I'm directing: "In a cabin in a forest by a mountain, Paul and Rebecca find time, space and truth to try saving their fractured relationship. Yet in the shadow of the mountain, paranoia grows as someone from their past has followed them here. A psychological thriller that dives into betrayal and the price of trust, forgiveness and revenge. With razor-sharp dialogue and an atmosphere thick with dread, this is modern theatre that creeps under your skin and lingers long after the lights fade. Who can you trust in the dark, who can you trust atop the mountain?" Tickets on sale now. 26-29th August, Alma tavern, Bristol Buy Tickets – Black Mountain by Brad Birch – Alma Tavern and Theatre 4th September, Porters, Cardiff Black Mountain at Porter's Theatre event tickets from TicketSource You can follow our production group here: Instagram Facebook

What are the path to become an actor?
I’m new to this journey, but I joined this acting community because I want to grow beyond my comfort zone. As an introvert, communication and self-expression were always difficult for me, and acting feels like a path that can transform both my personality and my future. In the future, I want to build myself as a real-life actor — not just on screen, but as someone who can understand emotions, connect with people, and inspire through stories. At the same time, I also want financial stability and a meaningful career, because I’ve learned that growth, passion, and money all connect in real life. Right now, I’m just taking the first step — learning, improving, and becoming a better version of myself every day.

- Try to find local short courses you can go to, to try out acting exercises, different methods and different teachers. If there is nothing local in-person, online courses and going away to summer schools.. - Once you find a method that feels right for you, read books on it. - Join local amateur dramatics for the experience (and/or volunteering to act in student short films, if film is more your interest - Take care of yourself. Get/stay fit, have a movement practice (a dance style, sport or something specialist like stage combat). Yes, it sounds like it would be good for your development (your post reads like you may be neurodiverse?). However, I would not count on acting for 'financial stability' - very few actors achieve this, even those fully drama school trained. Make sure you pursue a career that gives the stability you want alongside this.
Free acting class - Meisner Technique / Gonsalves Method
I'm currently doing a qualification in adult teaching (the one that further education college teachers have; I've completed level 3 and currently working on level 4). For my next unit, I need to do two 60 minute lessons, and submit the recordings for assessment (I want to do it over a call for ease of recording). It can be as few as 2-3 students (not 1 on 1 tutoring). Date and time to be arranged. Would only take an hour (or two, to do both classes). I'm therefore offering a free class to complete this. Depending on the students and their level, I can offer: - Introduction to the Meisner technique - Introduction to the Gonsalves Method (an applied new version of Meisner, with a new approach to defining scenes by 5 conditions); I'm already an acredited teacher in this method. - Use of tactics when playing objectives - Scene study Let me know if you are up for this, and if so, when is good for you; I'll try to co-ordinate with other interested people to figure out a time to make it work.

Kickstarter - Gonsalves Cards
As discussed in the zoom call, here is the link to the Gonsalves cards - a set of card-driven exercises for actors to practice their craft that I've been developed for the last couple of years: Gonsalves Cards by Gonsalves — Kickstarter The pre-launch page is currently up, so you can sign up to be notified when the KS finally launches.
