News from the DMV
My turn for some news! I was planning on trying to import a Kei truck either late this year or early next year, but according to new rules being implemented by the DMV, it looks like the era of Japanese mini trucks in Wisconsin may be coming to an end - I've contacted a couple of importers and they've all confirmed the same thing. Despite no official rule changes yet, Kei vehicles may soon be no longer able to be registered on Wisconsin roads - even as collector cars or low speed vehicles. https://www.reddit.com/r/keitruck/comments/1qdkc63/any_recent_wisconsin_owners_registration_issue/#:~:text=So%20I%20called%20the%20number,I%20got%20in%20the%20mail

@Sam Menheer In one of the Reddit posts there was mentioned of the DMV considering recalling some issued kei plates. I wonder if these are the plates they had in mind for recall. I looked into a kei truck many years ago (~2005) and back then I was told there was no way I would ever be able to register one in WI. I haven't looking into it since and I was quite surprised (and happy) when I started to see keis with collector plates on the roads around the Madison area. I also noticed someone in Reddit post said they had registration refused on a JDM imported Rover Mini, which while a small car, it is not technically a kei car.

Was that from a DMV service center?
Possible new bicycle special plate.
The WI Bike Federation group is working on the process for a new special bicycle plate. They have a couple design ideas shown in this article. https://wisconsinbikefed.org/advocacy/bike-fed-license-plate/

They took about 2 weeks by mail, but here they are. I was surprised the online system didn't ask if I wanted to renew my registration at the same time as ordering new plates.

@Cody James Corbett I thought the sticker turned out pretty well this time too. Last time (on my eagle plates) I used small scissors and it didn't turn out as well. This time an x-acto knife and a headlamp were used.

Ope… I think I went a little overboard

What is the one with the stacked PH? Is it a test/sample? It appears to have non-standard Wisconsin dies.
