beginner: breathwork cut short on inhale
for context I’ve basically let my job take over my entire life. I’m trying to seek out tools for stress management and quieting my brain. I have begun to look into meditation, breathwork, and journaling. I notice every time on my inhale, it gets ‘cut short’. There’s definitely a limit to my inhale and I notice myself stuttering a breath before ultimately holding. I choke a little bit and let out a little breath, even though I know I should hold before exhaling. It makes my breath work feel preemptive and not all fully there. I know the inhale I’m taking can be bigger but I almost always stutter a breath. Where does this come from? Am I that stressed out? How can I make it better? Thanks in advance!

@Louise Aquino Thanks for the encouragement! Learning to slow down and listen to the body is a process.

@Lur Chiu Thank you for this gentle reminder. Sometimes, taking the pressure off makes a difference.
Breakthrough update: From frying my CNS to finally catching a breath
Hey guys, I wanted to share a quick update because a lot of you reached out on my last post when I was completely losing my mind over my burning scalp and stuck nervous system. Honestly, today was the first day in a long time where I didn't feel like my body was actively attacking itself. Instead of just forcing myself to power through the stress or getting pissed off at the physical symptoms, I actually stopped today when the burning started. I sat down and focused entirely on a simple, rhythmic breathing technique to pull myself out of that fight-or-flight response. I just inhaled and exhaled in a steady, even pace for a few minutes, consciously slowing everything down. It was the first time I felt a true shift from frantic survival mode into actual internal coherence. My scalp didn't flare up nearly as bad, and my eyes don't feel like they are burning out of my head right now. It turns out I don't need a massive, complicated medical cure—I just needed to stop treating my body like an enemy and intentionally give it a safe signal to drop back into center. It feels amazing to finally step out of the loop. Thanks again to everyone who shared advice on my last post

@Brewtally Awesome l Admin It’s encouraging to see how a simple breathing practice helped me feel some relief. Hoping I continue to find more calm and comfort each day.
October Big NEWS at Earth 2.0: Our Next Chapter Starts Together
Happy October, beautiful Earth 2.0 family. I wanted to take a moment to connect with you, share a little of what’s been happening in our world, and hear what’s happening in yours. There is so much I’m grateful for right now, and so much of it comes back to the people here. Thank you for being part of this community and for continuing to show up for yourselves and one another. We have just finished the most beautiful eight-week cohort with people literally from all over the world, pretty much on every continent. I’m still taking it all in. Getting to spend those weeks together, witnessing what everyone was moving through, and having a space where we could bring our whole selves—it means so much to me. For those who were with us, I would love to hear what stayed with you. What shifted? What are you bringing into your life now? We’re getting ready to release the next one, and I’m excited to share it with you. If you feel a calling to join us, just comment “RSVP” below. Everything is personally curated, so we’ll have a call together first to connect, hear where you are, and see whether this is the right next step for you. You can take a look here: https://www.upperaeon.com/pages/cohort2?r=5#top Tonight, we come back together. Our next State of Cohesion experience is tonight, October 7, from 7–8 PM Chicago time. We’ll move through our System Reset practices, breathe, move, and come back to iEssence meditation. We’ll also make space for what’s happening in our lives—the latest discoveries, the wins, and the places where we’re being asked to grow. This is something I love about coming together in Unity Cohesion. We get to learn from one another, reflect together, and bring what we’re experiencing into the way we actually live. Come as you are. I’m looking forward to being with you. Here’s our link for tonight: https://zoom.us/j/98796638618 Later this month, we have a conversation I’ve been waiting to bring to you.

I really appreciate the transparency in this update. Hearing that you are actively prioritizing your health and listening to your own body right now sets a massive example for the rest of us. That three-day nervous system reset idea, "Come Back to Yourself," sounds exactly like what a lot of us need to stay grounded as the seasons change. I am in the Central time zone and pretty much any evening slot on that last weekend of October would work perfectly for me. Count me in for sure. Also, the way you handled the shift from frantic survival mode into actual internal coherence completely changed how I look at my own health over the last few weeks. It showed me how to stop treating my body like an enemy when things flare up. Safe travels to Austin and the Redwoods, and I am definitely looking forward to jumping into the next chapter with everyone.
State of Cohesion October Recording - Where in Your Life Is More Love Needed? Reflections From Last Night
Beautiful Earth 2.0 family, Thank you, thank you for coming together last night. After a month of travel, recovery, and everything we’ve been moving through, it meant so much to share this space with you again. I said this at the end of our call, and I really feel it: the right people, at the right time, with the right chemistry. Each of you brings something into this space. You made last night what it was, and I’m so grateful. Recording: https://zoom.us/rec/share/98msW4Jih0gcgM0BLXLfZ-C7F7bwxFrHXT-J_XT_Ve3AdXw_LyPHOC8b9Hy7MCOs.qCp4XU-Ltgna9e-e?startTime=1791417825000 Passcode: %S+?o#y9 For those who couldn’t join us, I wanted to share a little of the journey and some reflections you can take into your own life. We moved through three rounds of breath, working with the past, the present, and what we’re calling into this next month. We made space to release, appreciate, and get clear, then settled into the heart and the stillness together. One of the questions we sat with was: Where in my life is more love needed? Maybe it’s in a relationship. Maybe it’s something you’ve been resisting or a part of yourself you’ve been judging. Can you pause long enough to hear what needs your attention? What needs to be seen, felt, acknowledged? Sometimes we’re moving so quickly that we don’t give ourselves that moment. We started by looking back at the past month. What hasn’t been working? What have you been holding onto? Where have fear, frustration, or old patterns been taking up space? Just allowing ourselves to honestly see these things is meaningful. You don’t have to judge yourself for what you find. There is room to meet yourself with love here, too. Then we came back to what IS working. This part is so important. We can spend so much time looking at what needs to change that we forget to appreciate everything we’ve already lived, created, and moved through.

thank you so much for the call last night. It was exactly what I needed. I've been dealing with a ton of physical stress lately—literally to the point where my scalp has been burning and my nervous system felt completely fried. Taking what you shared about finding that space of cohesion and applying it to my day has been a huge breakthrough for me. Instead of getting angry at my body, I'm finally learning how to slow down, breathe, and bring myself back into a safe, calm center. So grateful for this community and the space you create
How to take a break
As best I understand it, I've been thawing for the last 9 months and have been doing SE by myself almost daily during that time. But I am tired now. I want to take a break from feeling and just enjoy life without paying attention to my body. Problem is, the feelings are just there and bubble up and suppressing them creates pressure and discomfort inside me. How do I take a break? Is it even possible or do I have work through everything until the end now that I've opened pandora's box?

@Emily Harper Wow, yes! It really does make a huge difference. Unhooking from fixing mode is the best feeling ever. Thank you for being such a wonderful bright light in our community family!
