Done are the days of teaching children regulation from a place of suppression
Children don't learn regulation because we told them to calm down. They learn it because they watched us move through a feeling without shame. When you say: "I'm feeling overwhelmed." "I'm feeling angry." "I need two minutes to breathe." You are doing something powerful. You are teaching: 💛 Emotions are normal 💛 Feelings are safe 💛 There are tools that help 💛 We don't have to explode to release and process This is how we create homes where all feelings are welcome - but not all behaviours are. It's okay to be furious. It's not okay to throw the chair. It's okay to cry. It's not okay to hurt someone. That balance of validation and boundaries is where regulation grows. And let's be very clear.... Your child will not master this overnight. I mean we're full grown adults and we're still practicing. We can not expect too much of them. Regulation is developmental. It takes repetition. It takes modeling. It takes co-regulation before self-regulation. So this week, remember to celebrate the tiny shifts. Not just for them, but for you too. Name what you are feeling and practice one tool to support yourself. Model this. Share how it goes 🥰

@Penny Lofthouse yes, love that. It really sets the tone doesn't it and actually having that space to tune in physicallly and energetically is needed 💛
Have you checked out the classroom tab?
This is where all the free resources and premium programs are 🥰 What are you diving into this week?

Spring Reset
There’s something about this time of year that feels like a quiet invitation. The sun starts to shine in, you look forward to getting outside, the whole energy shifts. And yet… inside many of us, there’s still clutter. Old reactions. Lingering guilt. The pressure to be calmer, better, more patient. The weight of trying so hard. So today, instead of adding more tools… I want to offer you a reset. A gentle spring cleaning for your nervous system. I want to share this tapping practice with you - a simple but powerful session to help you release what is no longer serving you and create more space for your authentic, steady self to shine. Think of it as clearing the clutter so there’s room for more peace. More connection. More you.

START HERE 👉🏼 Welcome to Family Yoga with Natasha
I am so happy that you are here, welcome! You are here because you're a parent, teacher or a caregiver looking for deeper support with regulation, to have tools you can actually use, and to raise children who can thrive - and hey, we already know our own regulation is important in this too. Not just because we want to help them, but because we deserve that live and care for ourselves too. Here's exactly what to do now that you're inside: 1. Start by exploring the community 😍 2. Introduce yourself! Let us know a bit about you and who you're supporting with these practices. Feel free to ask any questions too or if you've already tried any of the practices. 3. Dive in to the Classroom and check out the Free resources there. We have lots to get you started - The Family Calm Starter Kit, The 30 Day Calm Explorers Challenge and The 5 must know breathing practices for kids. These are great places to start actually implementing these practices. 4. Check out the Calendar space for any live events that may be coming up! 5. Keep showing up! The more you show up and interact with this space, the more supported you will feel on this journey. Ask questions, share your wins - even something as simple as "We practiced (this breathing practice together) today!", Share moments you feel stuck too - we are here to support each other. Also a big fan of memes - post them up 😂 Welcome!
