Infiltrator caught and banned!
We have a full-time team dedicated to reviewing applications and only allowing vetted members into this group. Still, every once in a while, a scammer slips through. To protect our members, we purposely lock down the ability to send private DMs until someone reaches Level 3. This forces potential scammers to publicly engage—commenting on posts and earning likes—in order to unlock DM access. Their usual tactic? Spamming multiple posts with generic comments like “hi,” “hello,” or “how are you,” just to rack up likes and reach Level 3. Once they do, they start privately messaging members. “Erik Weisz” was one of those who made it through. Thanks to one of our amazing members who flagged his suspicious activity, he’s now been banned from the group and reported to Skool. That said, he did make it to Level 3—so if he reached out to you via DM, please check your messages. In the second screenshot attached, you’ll see exactly how to report and block him: 1. Open the chat. 2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner. 3. Select “Report” and then “Block.” This ensures Skool is alerted and stops him from being able to contact you further. Even though he's banned from the group, if he messaged you before we removed him, he may still be able to continue the conversation until Skool fully removes him from the platform. In 14+ months of running this group, fewer than a dozen of these scammers have made it in—but when they do, we act quickly. With your help flagging anything suspicious, we can keep this space clean, safe, and supportive for all. Big thanks to Renee for catching this one!
