Kids went to grandma's for a sleepover. Cool thing. Happened for the 2nd time in my life. Child-free evening and then half the day. We picked the kids up from her today. Daughter cried all the afternoon, dinner, evening. Every tiny thing was a trigger. Grandma admitted she had been so excited she couldn't sleep last night. She dosed off in the car. So we ended up with a whining 6yo who had no intention of going to sleep early as she had already napped in the car. It's 9pm now. I'm totally overstimulated. My brain is all over the place. Idk if I want to sleep, go for a run, scream, or hide in a cavern. They say we need a village. Fuck. I need a day off after having the village.
