Real change is not only a new attitude
A new attitude matters because it can shift how you see yourself and your life. It opens a door to new possibilities and perspectives that were not available before. But real change asks for something more than just a shift in mindset: A new behavior that you are willing to practice consistently. A new choice that aligns with the life you want to create. A new response that reflects your growth in real situations. A new pattern repeated enough times that the body begins to believe it and trust it. You can understand everything on an intellectual level. You can journal about it and reflect deeply on your experiences. You can have the realization that something needs to change. You can say: “I need boundaries in my life so I can protect my energy.” “I need rest so my body can recover and feel safe.” “I need to stop overriding my body when it signals discomfort.” “I need to move more so I can feel alive and connected.” “I need to breathe more intentionally throughout my day.” “I need to choose myself even when it feels uncomfortable.” But the body learns through what we actually practice in our daily lives. Not once as a single effort. Not perfectly as an ideal standard. Repeatedly over time with patience and consistency. This is where many people get stuck in their growth process. They think awareness itself is the change they are looking for. Awareness is actually just the beginning of change. Behavior is where change becomes embodied and real. So instead of asking yourself: “How do I change my whole life all at once?” Ask yourself: “What is one behavior I can practice today that supports my growth?” Not ten different things at once. One simple and manageable action. Examples: When I notice my jaw clenching, I will gently soften it by about 5%. When I feel overwhelmed, I will place both feet on the floor and ground myself. When I want to say yes too quickly, I will pause and take one intentional breath. When I feel myself rushing, I will consciously slow down one movement.

@Maureen Serneels I noticed a couple of months ago that I was doing this too.

@Chantelle Smith this little reset helps so much!
BODY is not RANDOM
The way you breathe, brace, hold tension, collapse, push through, or disconnect is not happening without reason. Your body is always communicating. Sometimes through tight shoulders.Sometimes through a clenched jaw.Sometimes through shallow breath.Sometimes through exhaustion, numbness, or the feeling that you have drifted away from yourself. These patterns are not signs of failure. They are signs of intelligence. Your body may be showing you where it learned to protect, adapt, survive, and keep going. This week, I invite you to watch the video and ask yourself: What has my body been trying to protect? What has it been carrying for me? What does it need now? Healing does not begin with fighting ourselves. It begins with listening. Your body is not the obstacle. It is the guide.

This week I chose to really listen, to ask and respond as needed. What needs to soften, release, integrate or digest?

Hi! I understand that completely. It's just a matter of which voice or vibe we chose to listen to.
🌿 MONDAY REMINDER — JAW + RIB CONNECTION 🌿
A beautiful way to begin the week: Many people don’t realize that the jaw and ribs are connected through the breath, fascia, posture, and nervous system. When the ribs are tight… the breath gets smaller. When the breath gets smaller… the jaw often starts helping hold stress. 🌿 Intention for Today You do not need to carry the week in your jaw. You do not need to brace before anything has happened. You can begin with softness. 👇 Share what you noticed in your body.

It's amazing to track my habits during a stressful day at work. I find that my jaw and tongue are the first parts of my body that clench when triggered. I now notice how this creates a cascade of tightness through my neck and shoulders all the way down my back into my hips. Moving, stretching and breathing into my ribs along with practicing softness are all helping so much.
Why am I not taking action?
“I already know what to do.” And the answer is not lack of knowledge. It’s the nervous system. When you’ve experienced stress or trauma, your body is not focused on growth. It’s focused on survival. 👉 So instead of moving forward, the body can go into: freeze avoidance overthinking numbing And from the outside, it looks like: procrastination lack of motivationinconsistency But internally… the system is trying to stay safe. 👉 And here is the paradox: You need to take action to change your life… but taking action can feel unsafe. So what do we do? We don’t force big change. We start small. One step. One breath. One moment of showing up. Because action is not something you wait for. Action is something you create. And every small step teaches your body: it’s safe to move it’s safe to try it’s safe to change You don’t need to feel ready. You need to be willing. SHARE 👇 what are you trying today?
