Do the right thing....
I spent 2 years of my Iife in Germany in this black hole. Reason: No one to guide me at that time, but this is what I did I lived a painful life in Germany. I made mistakes but I learnt a lot. If you wanna grow, never do these mistakes.... 1. Never do Pizza Delivery job 2. Never do Restaurant job 3. Don't be that Moving Guy 4. Don't be a summer worker in production facilities The outcome? Yes, I earned money, but was it worth it? For my future these jobs did not helped directly in any way. I wasted 2 years to figure this out, if you want to avoid those mistake and save your life span
Do the right thing....
Fully agree. One should be strategic even while choosing the kind of part time/ temporary jobs that he/she does while searching for their long term career. Every job we do, big or small, shapes our professional career in more ways than we realise. It doesn’t mean that certain jobs are better than others. For example, if you’re into Hospitality industry, Working at restaurants is absolutely great for your career. But if you’re an IT engineer, Deliver job / restaurant jobs doesn’t add much value to your resume. So choose your short term job wisely, keeping in mind your long term career goals.
Hey German Learners! 🇩🇪✨
Let’s Learn, Practice & Grow Together! Hi Everyone! Hope you’re all doing great! Since many of us are learning German on our own, I thought it would be amazing to create a WhatsApp group where we can learn together, practice speaking, share resources, solve doubts, and keep each other motivated. 👉Teach Something Small Each member can share a simple tip they know—phrases, grammar shortcuts, pronunciation tricks. Everyone gets to be a teacher! If you’re interested, just drop your number in the comments or DM me, and I’ll add you! 🤝 Looking forward to learning together with all of you!
Great idea @Merlin Sarah. Please do include me as well in the group. +91 88706 43665
✈️ Exciting News! 🇩🇪
Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be traveling to Germany on December 16th, arriving near Stuttgart, to begin my journey in search of a Mechanical Quality Engineer position through the Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) visa. It’s a big step forward in my career, and I’m both excited and curious about what lies ahead — especially about settling in, understanding the job market, and adapting to life in Germany. If anyone here has already been through this process or is living in or around Stuttgart, I’d really appreciate your tips, advice, or experiences — especially about what to expect before and after landing, how to start networking, and settling into the work culture. Looking forward to connecting and learning from your experiences! 😊
All the best @Arvind Raj
