Trio of Poppies
Had the opportunity to spend the day working around the garden yesterday and obviously had the camera to hand. One particular area has a number of poppies and was buzzing with hover flies and the flowers provided the perfect backdrop for some portrait shots of them. Consequently not a lot if work was achieved 🤣🤣 Whats your favourite colour? Nikon Z9 105 mm macro S/S 1/200 f13 Raynox 1.4 Cygnustech diffuser Speed 900

Very nice shot, nice background.
Using a telelens
I recently bought a book on how to photograph insects and others with a telelens instead of a macro lens. Went for a walk a long a waterside and found this blue-veined White butterfly.( hope this is the correct name. Use gogle translate ) Was good fun doing this. Let me know ur feedback on what good have been better or different. Gear. Om 1 with the zuiko 100 400 mm Settings 1/1000 F7.1 Iso 4000 400 mm

Golden cuckoo wasp (Chrysididae)
A few images from my latest macro session in the garden. This species is incredibly small, so controlling reflections and achieving sufficient depth of field were the biggest challenges. Camera setup 📷 Canon R6 Mark II 🔭 Canon RF 100 mm f/2.8L Macro ⚡ Godox V480C (1/8 power) 🛠️ Even designers 3D-printed ⚡ diffuser and printed by myself ⏱️ Shutter speed: 1/125 s 🔍 Aperture: f/16 🌡️ ISO: 200 📍 Handheld I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
