✨ The Myth of the Self-Made Author
We love stories about people who did it all themselves. 🙌 👏 The lone author. 👏 The overnight success. The writer who locked themselves away and emerged with a masterpiece. But when you look closer? 👀 Most successful authors had: 📖 editors 📖 mentors 📖 critique partners 📖 beta readers 📖 support systems Writing may be a solo activity. Finishing and publishing often isn't. 💭 Who has helped you the most on your writing journey so far?

I've notice this whenever I talked to Public Speakers who wrote books. They would always seem to struggle with social advertising and get someone else to do it. The point is not one person can do a 7 man job

@Dani Rosenblad James ^_^ I believe there's a lot people can learn from the speaking biz. There's a lot of moving pieces. More on storytelling I'm in the boat that ever form of art is just a story. Music, drawings, dance. It sounds like it would be common knowledge however, I've rarely met people who seemed surprised by this mindset. Sorry for rambling

Let’s make this simple today. Finish this sentence: “My book is for the person who…” Example: “My book is for the person who has carried a story for years but keeps waiting until they feel ready.” Don’t polish it. Don’t make it perfect. Just let the real answer come through. Share it in the comments and reflect on it.

My book is for the person who feels like they have nothing new to share with the world and feel like they're just copying others. They feel deeply for the characters and story within this world of theirs, but have no true way of fully putting it down on papers. Consistently doubting themselves and changing it to match what is expected, not what they believe
Writing in NOT the First Step 🛑
Many people think that writing a book is just that you write it and then you’re done. NO… If you do that, you’re missing some vital points! When I work with my clients, we work on understanding their ideal reader first, work on the core message and get an outline. Of course you can start writing at the beginning. But to save you some time and energy, have more of a plan. Writing a book entails: 📖 understanding your ideal readers 📖 research similar books 📖 have a plan for promotion 📖 decide what the book will do for you 📖 have an outline 📖 brainstorm theme 📖 have a core message 📖 write your story 📖 have an inner story and an outer story There are other pieces that have to be thought of as well! That’s why it’s great to have someone in your corner. Someone that you can work closely with! At the moment I’m taking new clients! This means you get to work 1:1 with me and not with some of the other coaches. We will use a system that works, get your ideas into a tangible story and turn it into a published transformational book. 📕 The first 5 people will also get a free customized author bio that can be used within your book, Amazon, GoodReads and many other websites specific for authors. ✍️ Let me know your thoughts! 💭 And if you’re ready to get that extra help to make this process more smoothly, DM and let’s set up a time to chat. 💬

I'm currently writing my book, though I found myself asking what message my book and story is telling. Its something I caught on to while talking to other authors in other communities and I honestly got stumped. It had me rethinking the whole story and purpose of my story. I decided at the beginning to write for myself. To try and understand what is going on in my head. So this post is just to me, saying the quiet part loud.

@Dani Rosenblad James I guess that should be my goal point. Thank you. Though now I feel a little embarrassed now 😅.
