Last game of 2025
Last game of the season we ended on a loss, I had some great saves, and unfortunately I took a hit to the head early on in the game. I had to take a few minutes, but then I was back at it.

Nightmare of a match
Saturday was one of the hardest matches I’ve ever played. We lost 12–0, and we didn’t even have a single shot the whole game. I know the other team is really, really good , probably the best we’ll face all season, but that doesn’t make it easy to accept a result like that. I played the first half in goal and conceded five goals. I shared the match with the other goalkeeper, but it still hurts knowing the ball went past me so many times. I tried my best on every play, every save, every one-on-one, but sometimes your best just isn’t enough. That’s a tough thing to learn, especially as a goalkeeper, because when the team struggles, it feels like everything ends with you. What makes it harder is knowing where we came from. In the East League, we finished fifth out of eight teams, and even then we were put into the Major League. The team we played were the West League champions , undefeated, except for one draw, in a league with nine teams. That’s a huge difference. I really believe that in Premier we could be fighting for the title, but here in Major, it might be a season where we’re fighting just not to be last. Results like this hurt everyone, but goalkeepers feel it differently. Every goal stays in your head. Still, I know quitting or giving up isn’t the answer. I’ll keep training, keep learning, and keep standing back in goal, because that’s my job, even on the days when it feels like a nightmare. André Ferreira

Matches like these happen, you just have to keep your head up, and keep working.

Achievements
Tell everyone your biggest achievement this year (Jan to dec) and how did you get there??? Mason's biggest achievement is earning a full trial with Hull City starting in the new year. It has been his goal to be scouted again since his release from Sheffield wednesday 2 1/2 yrs ago and he has worked his butt off in all areas ever since. 121 sessions, S&C, mindset sessions have all contributed to this achievement. His hard work and performancs have been noticed and he's on the radar. Im so proud of him regardless of the trial result. Well done to all.

That is a really good achievement 🙌. My biggest achievement this year would be joining a new team, winning the provincial cup while being second last in the league, which qualifyed us for the national championships. We may have only won 1 of 4 games at nats, but entering as the underdog team was an amazing experience.
