Kian has had a super exciting morning this morning playing at the Leeds united Thanks to everyone commenting on my previous post about my feeling of guilt to their regular goalkeeper and mum she was there and was so lovely to us and Kian introducing us to other parents and talking so highly of Kian. It was a real experience for him just to be there and have the opportunity Now I need to bring him down off cloud 9 🤣

Kian goes to group training sessions weekly at a place who also have teams in the league which work closely with a local premier league club Kian was asked numerous times at u6 if he wanted to play for their team but Kian flat out refused he just wanted to play football with his friends and I get that and that’s what he does and continues to do all be it in a lower league than he should be in but he is happy Last week the lady who runs this other teams league sat and watched Kian at training and approached my husband saying they had a match lined up with the u8’s team for the premier league club (who my husband supports!) they would love it if Kian could come be in goal for them they think he deserves the opportunity to be seen. My husband immediately agreed and couldn’t wait to tell me My dilemma … The u8’s team has a gk and Kian trains with him at the group sessions and I often chat to his mum who is lovely, I said oh their gk must not be available my hubby said yeah he is they just want Kian for this match I am not feeling really guilty like we should have said no and pull out The mum of their gk speaks so highly of Kian and often tells her son in group training to watch Kian so I think she knows he is a better keeper but it still isn’t sitting right with me

I became a goalkeeper because it was more or less it was in my blood because every who played football was a goalkeeper.

Sorry we have been so quiet lately! Life has just got in the way! Kian has been keeping up with his training but not much else to report as unfortunately our team didn’t enter many tournaments and stoped training all together weeks ago u til August huge break! Kian has worked hard in his 1-1 and group gk training sessions every week tho so I’m hoping that’s enough to keep his standards up but I do think he is struggling with the lack of games no friendlies etc!
