My daughter began her goalkeeping journey three years ago at our local football club, where she quickly developed a passion for the position. From the very beginning, she has shown dedication not only to improving her technical skills but also to building the strong mindset required to be a goalkeeper. Through hard work, resilience, and a genuine love for the game, she has continued to grow in confidence and ability each season. Her commitment has now been recognised with the opportunity to become part of the FAW Academy, a moment we are incredibly proud of. While she is only turning 10 this year and understands there is still a long journey ahead, her dreams are already clear. She aspires to play professionally one day, with the ultimate goal of representing a ladies professional club like Liverpool and, one day, her country. As parents, we love watching her progress, seeing her confidence grow, and supporting her as she enjoys every step of her football journey. No matter where the future takes her, we are proud of the hard work, determination, and passion she shows each time she steps onto the pitch.
