What I realized on the toilet today
If you're a parent, you've probably encountered the show "Bluey" at some point. and if you're a parent, you've probably come to the same conclusion that I did... Bluey is actually a show for parents, but just expressed in simplest terms so that both kids and parents can love it together. Let me explain... If you've never seen it, it's about a family of Blue Heelers that live in Austrailia - Bandit (dad), Chili (mom), Bluey (big sister), and Bingo (little sister). The show takes you through the everyday activities of the families, but some episodes - they hit deep. For instance, one episode is about how children still need to be near their parents while they sleep and it showcases Bingo who doesn't want to sleep without her mom, but her mom reads her a book and tucks her into bed anyways. Only for Bingo to have a dream about being in the cold, dark, vast expanse of space. She swims around space with her stuffed animal until she is stranded on a meteor all alone when, suddenly, she whimpers in her sleep. Her mom hears her and rushes to comfort her while Bingo's dream features the bright, warm, and life sustaining sun zooming through the universe to be by her side. To a child, it's a fun space adventure. To a mom, it's the reason that we're okay with the fact that we haven't had a good night's sleep in years. Or, the episode "Curry Quest" where Bluey is asking her mother about what a quest is and the mom tells the story of the Hero's Journey and how it works (at the same time that the dad and Bingo are going on a quest to swap curry with their friendly neighbors). but, PLOT TWIST, while they are delivering their curry, Bingo learns that her dad is going to be away on a work trip for 6 weeks and she's upset because she doesn't want him to go. They learn to overcome the obstacles together which gives her the strength and courage to cope with her father's work trip and absence for 6 weeks. Until it ends with them embracing at the airport upon his return - indicating that she has completed her heroes journey and became a new and stronger pup in the process.

Bluey is the only show I truly enjoy watching with my kids. It's the best and you are so right, it's a parent show 😂 Clearly made by parents for parents!
Do you set goals?!
👇🏻 Do you have yearly, monthly, weekly, even daily goals?! Oftentimes we set goals too far off into the future… which means the mindfuckery can creep in and sabotage the daily actions we need to take to reach those goals… there also was a study done out of Harvard suggesting that a long to do list may do you more harm than good. Much like when you have more than 3 bullets the brain just sort of goes into fuzz mode, having more than 3 things on your to do list your brain can do the same thing. So, what are the three things you are going to accomplish today, things that actually move the needle forward rather than keep you stuck where you are??

I do set goals but most importantly I break them down into actionable steps and tasks and that is what I schedule in my calendar. I then review my goals regularly and see if the tasks need to be adjusted to reach the goal. I absolutely love the Daily Top 3 and I actually have a daily post in my community to encourage members to set their 3 priorities for the day and share them with the group (because accountability is a real power). Even though I timeblock my tasks every day, I still set my top 3 to make sure that if life throws me a curveball, I'll be able to refocus fast and make sure the most important things are being done. My top 3 for today are - Post the daily challenge post + write 5 next days - Content creation for the week for free and premium communities - Continue tax prep

@Sarah Hankins Tax prep is def not my favourite but it has to be done so I'm trying to see the positive side and focus on finding all the expenses I can claim 😅

RULEZ of ENGAGEMENT
(NOW on the⌛️ 𝔸𝕕𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖 𝕃𝕠𝕘) I HATE RULES. Fuck that shit. but sadly we can't have nice things, so need em. Here's our new: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT 1. Wins: Sharing an achievement! 2. Questions/Feature requests: What is missing or not quite yet understandable? 3. Photo Proof: If you didn't snap and share it, it NEVER happened 4. Shout OUT: Someone do something you like? SHARE that shit! It's Captivating. 5. No multiposts (many communities), gpt posts, or obviously shitty posts. any changes i should make?

That’s so interesting! Based on your experience, what’s the most powerful question to ask to gather the most information in just 10 minutes? I know it can depend on the research topic, but is there a general go-to question you’d recommend starting with?
