Advices to pass your exam ! (PMP Certified)
Hi all, I passed the exam and wanted to share some insights that might help you as well: - Don’t rush. The exam isn’t difficult, but it is long. Train yourself to sit for 4 hours. It’s mostly about time management. You will already have the knowledge before the exam thanks to your preparation. - Andrew’s Udemy course is more than enough. You don’t need to look for additional resources. Realistically, Andrew’s course covers about 90% of what you need. You’ll naturally pick up the remaining 10% through exercises and mock exams. - Andrew’s simulator is excellent, especially for developing the right mindset. I also recommend purchasing PMI Study Hall: it helps you get familiar with the question style and reinforces the remaining exam concepts. I personally think both simulators are necessary. - Mindset matters a lot. Train yourself to think the way PMI expects you to think. - Try to study every day. Finish all the course material at least 3 weeks before your exam date. Use the last 3 weeks for mock exams and reviewing weak areas. The whole process took me about 2 months. - I didn’t fully read the PMBOK. It’s useful for checking definitions, but don’t get lost in the huge amount of content. Remember: Andrew’s course is already very comprehensive. - Don’t use too many instructors for mock exams. Choose one or two and stick to them. Otherwise, you’ll end up confused by different wording styles. - Don’t take the exam without completing all mock exams from Andrew’s simulator and PMI Study Hall. A score above 70% is a good sign. But always aim for perfection, don’t settle for less. You’re preparing to become a highly qualified project manager. Good luck, everyone!
