Need them Dev and Design eyes
Hi everyone, Apologies for being MIA, I have been caught up trying to learn some backend to add to my crypto app and also sharpening the algos. Midst of all that, I was feeling slightly burnt out and decided to build out a one pager portfolio as an elevator pitch. It is still a WIP and have much to add. Needed your help to spot any issues or any recommendations are highly appreciated. I have gone ahead and added projects that I picked up in the course as a showcase, as many on them cover quite a lot of ground. Please do let me know your thoughts as to improvements and suggestions. Thank you once again fellow devs :) live link : https://portfolio-psi-bice-26.vercel.app/

Looks great Rudolph! Good luck with the job hunt!
VERCEL DEPLOYMENT ERROR
My project is working fine on local host, but in vercel it is not able to track the imports. I have tried everything possible to fix it but could not resolve it. If anybody has some time about how to resolve this error, please let me know

@Adelin Rosca this is a common problem with vercel

@Sharanjeet Kaur I've only used it for small projects , you'll have to do the research.
React Challenge 3
I finished this a couple days ago but can't for the life of me figure out how to fix one problem: The toggled components lose their state once they're no longer rendered, which means that upon removing the filter the previously toggled components show up untoggled again. Is there a way to prevent that? I thought at first to maybe add a display: none to the other components but they would still exist which is not good for optimisation probably. https://stackblitz.com/edit/vitejs-vite-hjvgphnr?file=src%2FApp.jsx

The toggle state should be a property of the task object.
To Whom It May Concern
Those of you who got coding jobs, how are you faring? What's the work like, do you enjoy it, is it office work or WFH etc.Let the rest of us know, maybe it will be motivating but I'm just asking because curious.

This is my second week and so far so good 😄. I can say I've been blessed with such an amazing team. The job is fully remote, a bit rare tbh especially for a junior. I only handle the frontend stuff, working with react and some other tech like Storybook and RJSF. What can I say, it is challenging but again, who you work with makes such a difference. My lead is very supportive, mentor-like, so I feel encouraged to take ownership, and have something to say in how things are done, which is really cool. open for more questions 🫠

@Martynas Astravas work is 90% react so depending how much you worked with react makes a difference. Of course you encounter new kind of errors, complex state updates that require a fair amount of googling. Plus typescript and other tech I mentioned which involve lots of docs reading. A lot of applications? No idea. Interview prep helped? YES. Loads. There are so many variables here as I could talk for hours but the bottom line is : know your stuff, and be confident that you know your stuff. Have a great attitude during the interviews, be confident, relaxed enough that you can say a joke, and with positive energy overall.
React Challenge 2
https://stackblitz.com/edit/vitejs-vite-hjvgphnr?file=src%2FApp.jsx Any glaring faults, things that could be done better? I did not use (props) this time to practice handling props directly. Also I'm ashamed to say I have to read stack overflow and ask gpt to explain a lot of simple concepts due to lack of practice I keep forgetting like maybe some syntax or how to use a spread, it's frustrating. Especially with React where it seems everything is an object lolol. I must do better.

Everything is an object apart from primitives, so yeah you have to get used to it. But it will come with time and practice, dw.
