Hello all! It's taken awhile but the band I've been playing with finally had our first gig last week. We play Cure songs but in a jazzy way. This is from the Cure's first album and an interesting one to try and take an early new wave, indie song and try and make it jazzy. Hey friends- just dropping a note about an upcoming gig on August 4. Our church sponsors a quarterly “Jazz series” - really it’s pop and jazz - for the community. And this summer I was invited to play with the group. I’m playing: Blue Bossa, Summertime )both in the Essentials) and comping to Summer Breeze (Seals and Crofts) and Dance w Me. So I’ve put on hold the weekly videos- but will try to do something mid- week on one of these times. Today we had a practice- it was so much fun to play with professional musicians- I had such a great time - and it was just a rehearsal. Hope to have a video of the real thing in a week or so. I replacing my 15 yr old acoustic amp. I'm considering A Boss Katana-100 Gen 3. I don't gig, I play mostly at home and want a sound that has a warm clean sound and less tinny. I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations from the community. My budget is between $300/$500 US. Tks
