Training
Sick with influenza. Miss my runs.
Training with weights and bands
Pulled some leg/buttocks muscle, gave up everything for 2 days, and back to running and weights. The weights and band stretches have markedly decreased my injury frequency and severity. My core exercises have really helped.
Not young runner
Iā€˜m Mike in Lincoln, NE, am 71 y.o., and have been an off and on runner since my first half marathon age 26, full marathon age 48 and 10k last year. My goal is not the fastest mile but to not hurt myself again and run for good health. My most recent discovery has been strength training is really important for me. Also, running on perfectly flat surfaces and not sidewalks keeps me from falling.
