Help?
I have a guitar I got in 1965. It’s an old Teisco MJ-2. I was 10 when my dad brought it back from being stationed in Japan. Tried to learn to play on it. When I realized you have to take time to learn. I took it apart to see how it worked. In the process, I jacked up the wiring and the pots. Over the last 60 years I tried to reattach the wires, but I know nothing about what goes where or why. Now I want to try to restore it, but I know nothing about how to wire it. (the wires from the pickups are in tact. The other wires are broken or disconnected). I need new pots and plan on ordering them as soon as I figure out what to buy. What I need is someone to show/tell me how to wire the pots, switchs, pickups and jack so that it works again. Here’s a similar picture of it. Mine has a different bridge/tailpiece which I want to replace. Just got a new nut and the neck is straight. Need wiring help.

Whoa! That’s what I was looking for! I found a couple similar pages, but this gives me info on the pots. Thank you!

@William Gentry To be honest, I’m not sure of the model. The MJ-2 and the Del Rey are quite similar, except mine has a cheap looking trapeze bridge/tailpiece. I’ll get it out and take a photo and post it later.
Guitar Polish
i have purchased and used the Dunlap formula 65 that has been mention on here. works great. i found something else that works great also and has many other uses.. Bees Wax antique furniture polish.. cleans about everything. No prints, no wax build up, works on glass also. has a pleasant smell.. the lady at the antique resale shop got my wife to buying it a few years ago. just wont fit in your guitar case. has a very pleasant smell to it. look it up !!

That’s cool! FYI: you can buy smaller, empty spray bottles at most drug stores and places like Walmart. Just skim a little from the wife’s bottle and carry it with you. You know, for that photo op. Keep it looking good! I’ll have to look for that.
