Anyone else think AI is totally overrated?
I've been playing with AI tools lately (because apparently that's what we're all supposed to do now). And maybe I'm just doing it wrong... But I spend like 90% of my time trying to explain what I actually want. It's like talking to someone who KIND OF understands English... But not really. Me: "Hey AI, can you help me with this thing?" AI: "Here's a detailed explanation about something completely different!" Me: bangs head on desk Everyone keeps talking about how it's supposed to make us more productive... But I'm pretty sure I could've done everything myself in HALF the time it takes to explain it to the AI. Maybe some of you are AI whisperers or something. If so, I'd love to hear your secrets. Because right now, I'm starting to think we're all just pretending this actually works. Have you experienced this too?

No, however, the pilot a.k.a. the human, who is instructing and guiding the AI makes all the difference
What's your ONE thing?
Something I keep seeing over and over... People trying to build 5 different things at once. A YouTube channel. A coaching business. An e-commerce store. A blog. An online course. And you know what happens? None of them work. Here's what I learned from studying the greats... Amazon only sold books. Netflix only did DVDs by mail. Booking only did hotel rooms. They didn't try to do everything at once. They picked ONE thing. They became the best at that ONE thing. They mastered that ONE thing. Only then did they expand. But nowadays? Everyone's trying to be everything to everyone right from the start. You're not going to build the next Amazon by launching 10 different projects at once. You're going to build it by being insanely good at ONE thing first. What's your ONE thing?

This is a great post and topic. Focus is 99% of the time what actually gives the results. Yes, I’m definitely not the best at this yet. Here’s an addition to this topic. How do you focus on 1 thing while maintaining inspiration and joy in your life? There are many ways of dealing with this and I’m honestly burning with excitement to hear your take on this! How do you focus on 1 thing while maintaining inspiration and joy in your life? Best, Mikael

@Michael Hinchliffe Thank you for sharing. I utilize a very effective AI system to generate B2B leads through LinkedIn. Hyper personalization with Myers-Briggs profile analyzed for each lead to support the entire process of marketing, lead generation and sales.
Here's something most people get wrong when starting out...
They think success means getting as many clients as possible. "I need 50 clients" "I need to book every lead" "I need to say yes to everyone" But here's the truth... 50 people who kind of like what you do is worth nothing. 10 people who absolutely love what you do? That's how you build something real. Think about it... Would you rather have: 50 clients giving you 5/10 reviews or 10 clients giving you 9.8/10 reviews? Because in a world of social media and word of mouth, those 10 raving fans will build your business faster than 50 people who just think you're "okay." Early on, you don't need quantity. You need quality. You need people who can't shut up about how good you are. Are you chasing numbers or building fans?

True and real in my experience. It’s a bit scary sometimes to say No mostly because of “Life Programming” that mostly teach scarcity and FOMO. Thank you for sharing
I wish someone had told me this sooner
Let me explain something that took me way too long to figure out... Being interested in something is what makes you scroll Instagram for hours. Being passionate about something is what keeps you up at 3am trying to figure it out. And you know what's crazy? Before I found what I was actually passionate about, I tried all sorts of stuff... Dropshipping. Blogging. Freelancing. Starting an agency. The list goes on... And you know what? It was only after exploring 10+ different business models that I actually found what I was truly passionate about. That's the real difference between interest and passion. You can't just pick the first "interesting" business idea you see and expect it to work out. You've got to explore. You've got to test things out. You've got to find what makes you lose track of time. Because that thing that makes you lose track of time? That's your passion. And that's what you should be building towards. What makes you lose track of time?

In my case, it’s always been a passion to connect with people. For example, in my previous role, I used to conduct three webinars each week regarding Fintech and cryptocurrency investing and they were conducted in the style of an AMA. Ask me anything. I loved the interaction.
I'm bored...
I need your input on something important. For 6-7 years, I've been making videos about living in Thailand. But honestly? I'm bored. I've covered every topic I can think of, and I'm struggling to find fresh content. What really excites me now aligns more with what Nomad School is all about - discovering how digital nomads and expats actually make money. I'm fascinated by the diverse ways people earn income online, the hot skills in demand, and how folks transition from their home countries to become digital nomads. My plan is to pivot my YouTube channel in this direction. I want to do more interviews, share my own decade-long experience of working online, and dive deep into the world of remote work and online businesses. I'll still make the occasional Thailand video, but it won't be my primary focus anymore. I know this is a big change from my usual Thailand content, and that's why I want to hear from you. What do you think about this new direction? Do you find it interesting? Do you have concerns? Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and if you could, please vote in the poll. Do you think this is a good direction for the channel?

Going “global” is the right direction at this point in time in my view. Remote work has got some bad reputation lately, and I would love to be part of boosting this way, of working with all the benefits for businesses and for the people who are choosing this path
