Anyone else think AI is totally overrated?

I've been playing with AI tools lately (because apparently that's what we're all supposed to do now).

And maybe I'm just doing it wrong...

But I spend like 90% of my time trying to explain what I actually want.

It's like talking to someone who KIND OF understands English...

But not really.

Me: "Hey AI, can you help me with this thing?"

AI: "Here's a detailed explanation about something completely different!"

Me: bangs head on desk

Everyone keeps talking about how it's supposed to make us more productive...

But I'm pretty sure I could've done everything myself in HALF the time it takes to explain it to the AI.

Maybe some of you are AI whisperers or something.

If so, I'd love to hear your secrets.

Because right now, I'm starting to think we're all just pretending this actually works.
