Hi, I run an ecommerce ceramic store and I’m having a hard time figuring out the right packaging. Our products are fragile and come in many different sizes, so it’s been challenging. Up until now we’ve been using wrapping paper and the packaging provided by our supplier, but as we move into the US market, I’m thinking we need something more protective and better-looking.
Hi Yuval, you're very welcome. Do the shapes and sizes of the products change often? I'm thinking custom cut foam might be an option, or if the shapes change, pick and pluck foam or expanding foam might be an option.
When your product is £49,170 (see photo), you can spend a bit more on your packaging than most, and the winners didn't skimp. Check out these designs from the drinks industry: https://www.thespiritsbusiness.com/2025/12/design-packaging-masters-2025/
Amazon Alexa delivery announcements will tell anyone exactly what is inside the box if they ask. Change the settings via your phone: Settings>Notifications>Amazon shopping>Uncheck "for items in delivery updates," under "let Alexa say or show titles for your items you've ordered."
Don't be afraid to share your shop link and photos of your packaging. I only ban dropshippers who are pretending to sell a product themselves and posting MLM and affiliate links.
@Ismail nuradeen Suleiman I sold cookies online and into retail. Fitness is interesting, is shipping costs a big issue with the weight of equipment, or is it supplements and smaller equipment? Feel free to share a link or your products and packaging.
