Planche is harder for short people?
Hey guys so I’ve been training planche for 11 months now and just recently heard that planche is harder for shorter armed people. Just found out last week after all these times 😂. Can any experienced athletes in planche tell me why? Just curious

As the other people already mentioned the planche and front lever in their pure form are easier if you have long arms, but if you look at the elite static athletes they tend to have shorter arms because in the long run, for things as front lever touch/fl pull ups or planche pus shorter arms are preferable
Comeback
This spring I was sick extremely often, I made no progress for 6 months, I was able to dip 5x60kg, that’s why I made a bet with a friend to dip 1x100kg till the end of the year, right now I’m 2 weeks in and I think I’m back to my prime, I don’t know if it’ll be possible but I’ll try my best Here’s my current progress: 3x70kg (not the best form) Today I went down to 3x65kg with better form😅

@Mihhail Popov after having a second look, I really do have extremely hyperextended elbows😅, but until now I haven’t had any issues with my elbows, at most my shoulders, but my elbows never really felt weird, I’m a bit concerned about learning planche though 🥲
Muscle imbalance
Hey, in the last year I’ve always dealt with a mild discomfort and pain in my traps/rhomboids area. I watched multiple videos about back/traps/rhomboid pain, and worked on my rotator cuff and did v raises for my lower traps ( because my posture is also crap)today I decided to do some testing on which movements the pain occurs. It turns out it’s some kind of imbalance and lack of muscle contraction awareness, so does someone know what’s wrong and how I can fix it?

Question
Hey guys! Which is the best type of calisthenics for building muscle mass?

Weighted calisthenics or sets and reps so endurance calisthenics
Basics
How many reps to perform of pullups, pushups to then transition to skills.

@Pau Sorribas I guess that works, but I think having a solid pull strength base would really shorten the time to achieve the front lever

@Viktor Valouch True, but feels weird planching without being able to do a push up, but it definitely gave me a different perspective about statics, it seems much easier if you separate static strength and dynamic strength 😄
