Acceptance: The End of the "Fix-It" Fantasy.
Relationships would be much easier if people came with user manuals. 😂 Version 3.2 ⚠️ Shares feelings every Tuesday. ⚠️ Needs 24 hours to process conflict. ⚠️ Thinks "I'm fine" is a complete sentence. ⚠️ Recharge with snacks and alone time. Since they don't... We spend a lot of energy trying to rewrite someone else's operating system. Think about that... 💥If You're Waiting for Them to Change... You're Dating Tomorrow. 💥You Must See People as They Are, Not as They Could Be. They're Not a Before Photo. 💥The Relationship May Not Be Broken... It Just Isn't Yours. 💥People Aren't Home Improvement Projects. Stop Dating Their Potential. 💥You Can't Love Someone Into Becoming Someone Else. Love Them. Don't Rewrite Them. Meanwhile Acceptance isn't saying, "This is exactly what I wanted." It's saying, "This is who they are." And once you truly see that, the question changes. Not: "How do I get them to change?" But: "Does this dynamic allow me to thrive?" Some relationships aren't unhealthy. They're just running different software. You don't have to call it a bug. You also don't have to install it on your heart. 💛🌿

@Lee Simmons In your example, what if one friend venturing into the bar was an alcoholic - why not gently ask if they wanted to ride share home and watch a movie instead? Of course respecting their choice either way with love and compassion.

@Lee Simmons But I see your point in help vs change. The hard cutoff I have developed is in the lack of wanting to change - if neither will to change nor acknowledgment is present, I can’t be present as that is simply too hurtful to watch♥️
How to attract a love relationship?
Stop looking for one. I mean it. If you just let go of the expectation that this is mandatory for your happiness… you end up finding that there is so much inner work to be done! And then, everything becomes so much lighter. I am all up for finding a good relationship. I had good ones! I am now into finding one. But sometimes I’ve been allowing myself to just forget this necessity. And then, I felt so much lighter. Everything is so much easier. I believe in circumstances also playing its part. God has his hand in this too. I am very much a Christian - on my own terms. I don’t go to church, but I pray at home. I do my own spiritual connections and studied to do this carefully and effectively. I’ve become a therapist in spiritual healing. And then, I found out that I must learn to be happy with myself first. Got to be honest: Easier said than done. Well, good luck to all of us! 🍀

@Eduardo Viana That is a very interesting discussion actually and very useful to have♥️✨ I believe it comes down to focusing on intention over outcome. This is non needy and non desperate and flows light. I love being in a relationship. I love the connection. The friction as source if growth. I love to care for my person, with my own healthy boundaries. It makes me feel part of something bigger. I love to love deeply♥️ I’m still recovering from breakup, but know I’ll be back when ready for a next chapter. I dream she will be the One, but I try to feel the intention simmering like gentle “wouldn’t it be nice” daydreams and not desperste outcome, whens and wheres. Don’t chase or find. Gently allow♥️✨ Then some days, I’m just desperately chasing😂😅🙏🏼✨♥️
A lasting marriage is about ...
A lasting marriage is about the ability to resolve the inevitable conflicts in any relationship. Many couples tend to equate low conflict with happiness and believe that the statement “we never argue” is a sign of marital health. But I believe that we develop and grow in our relationships by reconciling our differences. That’s how we become more loving people and truly experience the fruits of marriage.

Can absolute relate and based on my experience - entirely true. The fundamental though is having that “growth through friction” approach in life. I left my last high conflict relationship with so many learnings - an entirely new person!♥️🙏🏼✨ I kept at it, returned efter a dozen breaks, because I knew I had to learn something, from her anxious-avoidant patterns. In many ways I was anxious as well. But no more🙏🏼♥️
We fall in love with three people In our lifetime.
This is why ... 1. The First Love It happens when we're young. You believe it will last forever. You love without fear, without caution, and without knowing how much a heart can hurt. You see the best in them. You imagine a future together. You think love is enough. And even if it doesn't last... it teaches you what it feels like to open your heart for the first time. 2. The Second Love The one that breaks you. The one that changes you. This love arrives to teach lessons the first one couldn't. It teaches heartbreak. It teaches disappointment. It teaches boundaries. It teaches self-worth. You cry more. You question more. You learn more. This is the love that forces you to grow. The one that shows you what love should be... and what it should never be. 3. The Third Love It arrives when you least expect it. Not when you're looking. Not when you're trying to force it. It simply appears. And somehow... it feels different. There are fewer games. Less confusion. Less chasing. You don't have to pretend. You don't have to convince. You don't have to constantly wonder where you stand. Your walls slowly come down. Trust returns. And for the first time... love feels peaceful instead of exhausting. It feels like home. - The first love teaches you how to love. - The second love teaches you how to grow. - The third love teaches you how love should feel. And that's when you finally understand... why the others didn't last. Because some people come into your life to stay. And some come into your life to prepare you for the one who always be by your side.

@Veronica Elizabeth it’s probably more meant as a progression or direction - lord knows sometimes we need to learn the same lesson more than once😅😩😂♥️
Why do some people struggle to stay in relationships?
Emotionally secure people aren't attracted to just anyone. They're especially unlikely to be drawn to relationships where someone is seeking validation, rescue, control, or trying to fill an inner void. Secure relationships aren't built on "What can you give me?" They're built on "Let's grow together." 🎥 Watch the video to understand why emotional security changes who you're attracted to and the relationships you choose.

So so true!✨♥️ I’ve healed a lot and no longer relate to the insecure and anxious, yet I still feel a tiny hint of fear - perhaps excitement? - over walking towards a secure relationship. Because the clinging and anxious always felt safer. But if that was so safe, surely we’d still be together♥️😂😅 Here’s to being uncomfortable and embodying the new normal✨✨♥️🙏🏼🔥

Most lives are built out of the ruins of broken dreams, sorted into neat piles of rubble. I want to make sorting my art, the rubble my masterpiece.
