Keeper not the tallest
My 8 year old is not the tallest and has been told by various academies that he is technically very good but they are concerned he wont reach over 6 foot 2 at least. He currently plays grassroots, national league academy team and a PL foundation team. Beside covering the angles does anyone have advise for him on how to compensate for a lack of height when in the goal especially as they move up in age and the goals get larger.

@Mason Shaw getting over conceding a goal is a big one, these kids are so hard on themselves and their teams can be hard on them to.

Hi, my boy wore his gloves for the first time at the weekend and the palms have worn like they’ve been worn 20 times? They were pre washed and aloud to dry naturally in the airing cupboard, no heat used. 😔

My sons gloves from various brands don't last at all. He plays on 3g pitches numerous times a week and that eats the palms. Its a massive problem and costly. Playing in winter and the rain makes it far worse.
