📌 One Question That Unlocks Most Children’s Books
Most children’s books don’t fail because of writing. They stall because the author hasn’t answered one quiet question yet: Who is this book really for — and when do they need it most? Not the age range. The moment. Is it: - bedtime? - after a hard day? - when a child feels left out? - when something feels confusing or unfair? You don’t need the full story today. Just this 👇 Finish this sentence in the comments: This book is for a child who needs it when __________. That’s it. No feedback required. No fixing. We build clarity out loud here.

Yes @Nina Larbalestrier kids experiencing trauma benefit from all the support. The camp sounds great. When I write this story is cathartic, I wrote it at first for myself, now I would like to share it with others. Even if it inspire just one human being it will be worth it, I have the words ready I am just thinking about the illustrations, do I collaborate with an artist, do I do it myself, do I use AI, do I I let the publisher take care of it? I think the first 2 would be more powerful…
📍 A small grounding question
I want to offer one quiet check-in today. If your book had to help one child: not a market, not an audience…just one real child… Who are they in that moment? Not the whole story. Not the lesson. Just the situation. Is it a child who is: • missing someone • feeling left out • trying something hard for the first time • holding a secret worry • learning how to be brave • feeling angry and not sure why If you want to respond, you can do it this simply: “This book is for a child who is ______.” One sentence is enough. No explanations. No feedback needed. If you don’t feel ready to post, reading others still counts. We’re not rushing clarity here. We’re letting it arrive.

This book is for a child who has experienced loss and separation. To remember that the stories of them spending together are still alive.
The Garden of Memories
Hello Everyone, This is a book I have written : “Remember when we played on the swings and you jumped so high you got stung by a bee?” “Yeah… and you pushed me off those boxes and I broke my arm.” Brothers Dave and Mike are just playing sword-fighting in the garden—until something strange catches their eye. A tree, oozing black sap. A whisper in the leaves. A quest begins… What follows is a magical adventure through wild forests, strange creatures, and a darkness creeping from a forgotten construction site. With only a shield, a mysterious wooden box, and their courage, the brothers must uncover the truth behind the Black Ozze before it’s too late. But sometimes, the greatest journeys take place inside the heart. A story of brotherhood, memory, and healing—told through the eyes of a boy who still remembers. I wrote The Garden of Memories five years after losing my brother, David. This story is my way of spending one more day with him—laughing, exploring, remembering. It’s about two brothers, but really, it’s about how love and imagination can carry us across any distance—even the space between life and death. If you’ve ever lost someone and still talk to them, or imagine what you’d say if they were here, then this story is for you. May you find your own forest, your own magic, and your own way to carry them with you. My dream is to publish this book to help kids and teens who experience loss - Thank you for reading Michael
