Hey guys, just found a pretty cool feature I didn't know about that Claude had released to allow you to use some Memory.. So they don't really have any native memory functionality unless you're using projects, but with this you can reference other chats in which you can set one chat as the master 'everything about me' chat if that makes sense? Anyway, here's how to set it up... Step 1: Turn on the memory feature 1. Go to Claude’s settings. 2. Find the Features section. 3. Toggle on Search and Reference Prior Chats. Step 2: Create your “master memory chat” 1. Start a new chat. 2. Name it something like EverythingAboutMe. 3. In this chat, type out everything you want Claude to remember: (Tip: you can also import your ChatGPT memory or just spend 10–15 minutes explaining your background to Claude here.) Step 3: Save your profile automatically Claude will take the info in EverythingAboutMe and create a full profile in your MyMap.This becomes your personal memory system. Step 4: Use your memory in new chats 1. Open a fresh chat. 2. Say: “Onboard yourself from my EverythingAboutMe chat.” 3. Claude will instantly recall your whole profile.✅ No more repeating who you are or what your business does. Step 5: Use it for projects too - If you’re working on a project, name the chat after the project. - Later, in a new chat, just say: “Reference the [ProjectName] chat.” - Claude will continue from where you left off — even if the old conversation hit the message limit. Step 6: Bonus — analyze your habits Because all your chats can be referenced, you can ask Claude to analyze patterns across your conversations (e.g. “What do I usually ask for help with?”). This makes it feel like Claude truly knows you. Hope this helps! Check out my Instagram/TikTok post for a longer breakdown if needed!
