Your Brain Said One Thing. Their Brain Heard Another.
We think we’re being perfectly logical. Our words seem crystal clear. Our intentions are absolutely obvious. Meanwhile, the other person’s brain is running a completely different operating system. 😂 - You say: “I’m fine.” They hear: “Something is terribly wrong and you should investigate immediately.” - You say: “We should talk sometime." They hear: “Prepare yourself. This is going to be a three-hour emotional documentary.” - You make a joke. They hear criticism. - You explain yourself. They hear excuses. - You stay quiet because you don’t want to make things worse. They hear rejection. And the funniest part? Nobody is necessarily wrong. 🫸Because between what we think, what we feel, what we say, what we mean, what the other person hears, and what they interpret... there are approximately 847 opportunities for the human brain to completely freestyle the message. 🫷 Our perception is influenced by our history, beliefs, fears, expectations, mood, experiences, insecurities, nervous system state, and probably whether we’ve had lunch. So perhaps communication isn't about making ourselves perfectly understood. Maybe it's about remembering: “The map in my head is not the territory in yours.”🤔 🤩And sometimes the most intelligent thing we can do is pause and ask: “What did you hear me say❓” Because apparently, being human comes with no universal instruction manual. Just warning labels. Lots of warning labels. 😂

@Linda Kenny Recognizing that was a game changer. I thought I was going crazy. Even my typed words were getting twisted. Aaron’s Ho’oponopono video explains the “active particles,” but I didn’t understand the depth of that until this last challenge. It’s quite bizzare.

@Kátia Castro Costa I was shocked at how words got twisted & how people had forgotten what they said. Twice I had people yelling at me, while I was agreeing with them. I was so confused. Now I know, that was adrenaline. I didnt realize how much it impacted communication. That blew my mind. I wasn’t aware of MY defensive tone.
if you joined the 3 day challenge…
if you received value from the 3 day challenge, would you mind doing me a favor? can you fill out this quick feedback form? https://aarondoughty.typeform.com/3dayMYC2026 i’d love to hear about your experience, what stood out to you, what shifted, and any feedback you have it would mean a lot to me and help me make it better for the future so that more people can connect to this kind of work in a powerful way one of the main things I'm wondering is: at the end of the 3 day challenge, would you be more excited to join a live in-person event that is 3 or 4 months out (and you can live stream if can't make it live) like the next event in Sedona Oct 28th-30th? or a year long container with coaching and integration on Zoom? let me know any thoughts below too!

@Joi Rychelle Honestly, I busted out laughing & chased it like a lunatic to get the photo. Proof of my proof🥰
Step two: Family.
What is a family? This is a deep question. The gains are many. There is strength that comes from the gathering of people that agreed to form this group unit: the family. Now, there are moments where things get complicated. People get on the way of others. They think they have rights that were never agreed upon. For example: “I gave you birth, so, you owe me your life. And all in it.” Is that a good relationship to be in? I don’t think so. Therefore there is a need for healings. People think you are their property! Mothers, fathers. They are sick. The are hurt and they are hurting others. You must protect your integrity. No one owns another person. And even so, even when everybody says that there is no such thing happening inside a family, this is exactly how they behave. So, beware. Know yourself, know and put your boundaries. And find your strength outside of family. Otherwise you will be forever trapped. Because this group unit called family, can be very toxic. Sometimes more, sometimes less. And your individual being can’t keep hurting, if you want to be happy. Correct? Many blessings. May you find your happiness in your own strength. Only God can provide such thing. Because this ain’t an easy path.

I’ve come to believe that family (blood) was meant to lead you to your tribe. When we heal, it heals 7 generations forward & back… that’s a lot more healing than my words ever did.
Day 1 Insight
AI said “that broke my heart” It doesn’t have a heart. I spent my entire life broken hearted & yet, some how, thriving thru surviving. My entire life, I betrayed my own heart- begging to be “seen, heard, nurtured & soothed” by people afraid to feel. A pattern so powerful, it killed half my family- only the good die young- & I still couldn’t see it. I felt it: RAGE. But subconsciously kept repeating it, silently spewing it into my kids. “Invisible stepping stool.” Until they got stepped on. That’s when I saw HER (my inner child?) pain in their eyes. THAT is where it stopped… There is no “good/bad.” 1st lie. Only the strong survive. Lie. Thrive. Only the strong thrive. NOW I see the truth. I wasn’t sucking at life. I was thriving- while life was being sucked out of ME. It’s not MY “fault,” because it’s my strength. Gratitude. LOVE is patient, love is kind… fear is not. I am Grateful to be Love. LOVE wins💖🪩💖

@Meline Martinez What kind of online business? & what type of nurse? I have a lot of respect for nurses. You do all the work & take all the heat. Not for the weak. 3 kids- “wow, you’ve got your hands full.”How many times do you hear that?? I can’t imagine my 3 w/o ea other. Heart full. Right now, I support them with odd jobs & Im working WITH (not thru- this time) my final resistance for an online presence. FTP with Vic & Aaron really helps with that.
