🌍 Challenge: “One Theme, Many Minds“
Everyone paints their interpretation of THE theme. THE theme, we are going to choose together in the poll below. Then we are going to paint the winning theme. Then the paintings are displayed side by side. You can make as many paintings with this theme as you like. The fun part is seeing how differently people think about the exact same theme. It feels a bit like a mini art exhibition and gives everyone a chance to explain their ideas. Is this clear ? 😅 if you have questions let me know. But first we have to determine THE theme with all of us.

Help Each Other by Engaging on Instagram
Hi there! 😊 As an artist with a small Instagram account, I’ve found it really lovely to have a group of supportive and engaging followers. I’ve even noticed that strangers, mostly other artists, sometimes cheer louder than friends and family 🤪 Personally, my goal right now isn’t to grow a huge following (my profile has actually been private for a while), but I do really enjoy meaningful engagement and supporting others as well 😊 That’s why I’d love to invite you to drop your Instagram (name or link) below so we can follow each other, engage, and support one another 😊🙌 Mine is https://www.instagram.com/lizaglorius.art?igsh=MW5qZWk4eG1xNDlxNA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr

I would love some opinions. There is a call for artists for a reasonably local to me gallery. The theme is "unity" and they list ideas like oneness, harmony, togetherness, agreement, interconnectedness, and more. I would like to know if you think any of these paintings might reasonably work with this theme. Please be frank. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I asked because I couldn't articulate my instincts. Often I find that an outside viewpoint will be able to say what is muddled but there in my brain! My gut was not convinced or I would not have asked.

I love the translucency in the lemon slices!
Challenge! Show Up & Create
Most artists don’t fail because of talent. They disappear. So let’s fix that. New challenge: Show Up & Create → 3x per week→ for 30 days→ post whatever you made (finished or messy) Rules: - No perfection - No overthinking - Just proof you showed up - Miss a day? Don’t quit. Just continue. This is about becoming someone who creates. Not someone who waits. I’m in too. Who’s joining?

Hi Kim, I focus on still life myself. While mine tend to be more typical in subject matter, my definition of still life covers anything that does not include people or any type of living creature or focuses on the landscape - so yes that is a still life.

@Sarah Reed Reds can be so hard, especially if you're turning a form.

I Paint still life and interiors using oil paints and sometimes pastels. My home and gardens provide constant inspiration and source material.
