Sooo I'm a person and a brand and my goal with this is to build my personal account to support my brand. A lot of brands are being started by influencers and they have such a large reach. I'm hoping to elevate my craft and trust by building my personal brand. Not sure if I did the assignment the right way but I tried to improve without being too sales focused or duplicating the brand page... pasting both before and afters here for feedback..

Hey there!
Hi! My name is Megan Feely, I’m the CEO/Founder at Eddy, a womens clothing brand, based in SF. I also act as a Creative Director for two other brands. On insta @meg_eddy_ is my personal and my brand is @eddy-aesthetic . I want to get these things from Asterisk Create: 1. Create a more consistent presence of my creative work/story telling to build my personal brand that hopefully will drive... 2. Increases awareness (and purchases) from people to my clothing brand 3. Structure in what/how I share. It's pretty random right now without a plan and I want to spend less time stumbling/more time focused on executing For fun, I like to: 1. take care of my two toddlers! I've got a 2 & 3 year old so am pretty busy 2. i LOVE crafting, patches, sewing, painting 3. vintage thifting/hunting is a passion My workspace is my store / design center / community hangout and I love it there!

so instagram has been shifting how it measures engagement and I wanted to share what's actually happening with the algorithm in 2026 the big change: watch time is now one of the primary signals the algorithm looks at, it used to be that 4-7 seconds of viewing was enough to tell the algorithm your content was performing well, now they're looking for sustained viewing, meaning how long people actually stay on your content matters more than before the other shift is around engagement types, saves and shares are now weighted more heavily than likes, and surface-level comments like "nice!" or "love this!" aren't being counted as meaningful interactions the way they used to be basically instagram is trying to reward content that holds attention and gets people to take deeper actions like saving it for later or sending it to a friend curious if any of you have noticed this in your own analytics, are you seeing different patterns with what's getting pushed lately?
