Got a recurring client back!
My client with 2 businesses signed on last July for 2024 to present clean up and ongoing bookkeeping. I finished and billed 2024, he made more than he realized and took awhile to get started on 2025. He finally emailed me in late January to get started on 2025 and set up auto pay for 2026 ongoing. I had to raise his rate for one of his businesses because it has 6 instead of only 2 accounts to reconcile like we initially discussed. So another month later, he finally signed the new agreement, paid the deposits for clean up, paid for Jan-feb 2026, and auto pay for march is going through. Big win!!

Awesome!!! Congrats!!
Client
My first client (of 1 month) just closed his business today and just told me, he has already closed his QBO account as well so it sounds like he doesn't want me to close his books out. Per our contract I would still charge him for February since he just told me today, which would go out on the 1st (Sunday). It's only $100 and I know legally I can charge him, but I don't know if I should just cut my losses and let him off the hook for Feb to be kind since he had to close his business. Anyone have any thoughts on how to proceed? @Melissa Broughton
Happy Wednesday
Today I made a hire on Fiverr, so now I should have my list of 1000 leads in my niche by next week! I'm going to work the rest of the week on marketing materials to send when I have those leads and whatever else I need for this step. Trying to focus on learning as well which is leading to a lot of frustration. This week I'm dealing with crippling overwhelm, and trying to keep going anyway!

Happy Friday
Today I'm looking forward to office hours, I have a few questions and mainly want to learn. Hopefully will get to the bank afterward to change my DBA on my business account, and hoping to hire someone on Fiverr to create my list today. Have a great weekend all! Join office hours and lets meet!

Thursday
Today I'm looking at hiring someone on Fiverr to create my list. I've put so many hours into it without getting that far, and Melissa suggested Fiverr, it can be done for so little $, I had no idea! With that off my plate for a few days I'm going to focus on learning more about QBO and getting used to being in it and navigating it (suggestions for learning welcome!), and will be working on a logo and marketing materials and such for when I do have the complete list. Very nervous about really starting marketing as I'm struggling to feel like I know what I'm doing. Anyone else dealing with this struggle?

@Sameer Amjad my list of 1000 leads, focusing on wellness practitioners and therapists. It's a bit of a difficult niche as a lot of therapists don't publish their email addresses, so i'm expanding my search area since location really is not important. Feel free to message me.
