Black History Month invites reflection
While I believe every culture holds wisdom worth honoring year-round, this month gives us space to pause and intentionally acknowledge the depth, resilience, and contributions of Black culture. One of the most powerful threads throughout Black history is the use of music and sound as a source of regulation, connection, survival, and healing. Through generations of struggle and resistance, music was never surrendered. It became prayer, protest, comfort, and community. Today, in honor of Black History Month, I’m sharing my first short sound bath video. My hope is that it offers a moment of rest, grounding, and gentle soothing for your nervous system. May it meet you where you are. 🤍

Welcome
🌿 Welcome to Circle of Mindful Healing 🌿 I’m really glad you’re here. This community is a gentle space for slowing down, reconnecting, and tending to your nervous system through art, movement, sound, reflection, and shared humanity. New here? Begin with the Start Here: Orientation to learn how this space works and how to use it in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. There’s no pressure to introduce yourself right away. If and when you’re ready, you’re welcome to share a little about yourself below, or simply say hello. Quiet presence is welcome here, too. Move at your own pace. Rest is allowed. You belong here. đź’š Thank you for holding this welcome with such care.
Processing through community grief
This video was originally meant to be an introduction to expressive art therapy — how it helps with anxiety, regulation, and the release of control. But in light of recent events and the collective grief many of us are carrying, it didn’t feel right to move forward without naming what’s happening around us. This video is an invitation to slow down, to witness what you’re carrying, and to remember that care, expression, and connection matter especially now.

Thank you for uplifting, encouraging and giving us permission to feel what we feel. đź’š
A reminder you might need today:
Your worth is not tied to how much you produce, achieve, or check off a list. You are enough even when you pause. Especially when you pause. What does “enough” look like for you right now?

This is so true. I tell myself this all the time, and yet I push myself beyond what I should. Thank you for the reminder. As my husband is calling me now, to eat something🤣
What are you leaving behind in 2025
As this year closes, I’m leaving behind the urgency to prove, push, or rush what needs time. I’m carrying forward steadiness, discernment, and trust in slower growth. However you’re crossing into the new year, may it be with gentleness and care. So tell me, what are you leaving behind in 2025?

I’m leaving behind anything that no longer aligns with my calling, especially the things that quietly interfere with my joy and peace. I’m learning to choose what feels true and life-giving, and to release what doesn’t. 💚
