Scripts are a great starting point, they just have to be internalized to be authenticly you.

My knee jerk response is best left unsaid - even if the other person feels like they got one over on you. I let a conversation die that was telling me how wrong I was and I wanted horrible things to happen because of my position. I stopped, let them say what they wanted, I knew the truth - their chastisement couldn't change that. 2 days later they came back and apologized, they researched it and found I was right. This person doesn't typically apologize or admit they were wrong, so that was HUGE.
