Your approach might be the issue. Are you selling them an idea immediately they respond to you? Like Tyson said, after your first messages you let it marinate for a few days before hitting them up again. You don't want to start pitching immediately they reply. That's always salesy when you do it that way. But don't give up, they might not give you a good response now because they don't need your services at this moment Give it time then text them all over again. Goodluck.
