Excel Classes We ended our training journey in Excel, this evening by being introduced to Macros. Yesterday, we learnt how to use Goal Seek, Scenario Manager and Data Table. It was an interactive and engaging session. It is fascinating to learn the many features 'Microsoft Excel' has to improve and automate work processes, within the work environment. Next week we will implement what we learnt by working on a Excel Project. I am also gaining more understanding from the short Excel videos classes on the School Community Platform. I like the fact the explanations are short and brief and to the point.

Last night, the team members discussed about finalising our Palmoria group project. The project was reviewed, suggestions and few corrections were made. It is still work-in-progress.

Today, I had an exciting time in the Excel class with trainer Olive. The class was very interactive and it was really great to see everyone working together on an excel project.I use excel on a daily basis at work but never got a grip on vlookup, the good news is today I finally nailed it and understand how to use this formula with easy as I was practicing along with the class. Much appreciation to Olive and all the students in class toady. Thank you.

On Saturday, 9 September 2023, CLAP Academy carried out a Master Class on SQL. The Masterclass was led by Microsoft Certified Trainer Olive Iluyomade. SQL , stands for Structured Query Language. It is a programming Language that communicates with databases. It is used to store, retrieve and manipulate data. The session was divided into 2 parts. Theory and Practical. The theory and practical sessions were both interactive and engaging. It is going to take me a lot of practice to understand and use SQL. I prefer Power Bi as I find Power BI, a lot more user friendly to use. However, the fact is SQL, cannot be avoided it is requirement to increase your value in the job market.

Olive explained Vlookup (Vertical lookup)and Hlookup(horizontal lookup), we did a practice which we continue on Monday 11th September.
