We had a fantastic time with our trainer Olive in the Excel class today learning. I have not really understood the importance of using the what-if-analysis but the explanation from Olive simplified it and made it easy to understand. Using the what-if-analysis, I learnt how to use Scenario Manager to work out how a change in value will impact on other values. I also learnt about the Scenario Summary to get a summary of the calculation of the data. We also learnt about Goal Seek, this entails manipulating data to get our target value. Changing the target profit shows you the amount of sales required to meet the target profit. I also learnt using the option of the data table to achieve my result, when all the data is on a table you can see what quantity will yield what profit. Today, I had an exciting time in the Excel class with trainer Olive. The class was very interactive and it was really great to see everyone working together on an excel project.I use excel on a daily basis at work but never got a grip on vlookup, the good news is today I finally nailed it and understand how to use this formula with easy as I was practicing along with the class.
